At majority times excess cough in these patients persists and apart from a few medicines which are given to reduce sputum .... Still sputum (phlegm) persists and best thing which can be done is to cough out the sputum so that inside there is no sputum to cause infection. The more sputum one can spit out the less are chances of infection

Dear Sir, I am 70 yrs old and a patient of copd from last 5 yrs. Due to dry cough and much chest conzession 10 days before my pulmonologist suggested for HRCT thorex. Report shows focal fibroatelactatic band in lingular segment of left lung. LTC 16000. Is it ILD. MY PULMONOLOGIST given Ceftum 500 BD for 7 days, foracort and glycohale respules only. Sir you can suggest any medicine?

my ILD detected in 2018 and only wysolone 5mg started but in 2022 fibrosis detected and pirfinex 400mg started, i want to know that is this dosage can be stoped after some time or it will be life time drug for fibrosis

Coming to your question, doses of steroids & other antifibrotics depends upon the type of ILD you are having and many other factors. Just labelling as ILD doesn't define anything about the nature of the disease. Lots of other factors Type of ILD Fibrotic/non fibrotic PFT DLCo 6mwt Spo2 Chest findings General examination findings Specific blood tests pertaining to ILd Etc are all essential to come to any conclusion

Mycophenolate is used for ILD patients as steroid sparing agent. Means jin cases me steroids nahi de sakte ya fir steroids ke significant side effects aa rahe ho un cases me Mycophenolate di jati hai. Iske relatively koi major side effects nahi hai aur bus CBC karvate rahna hota hai 3 monthly

Sir, I have a breathing problem since from last 10 yrs. I used to get brethlessness when I used to do physical exercise and if I do any heavy domestic works. I have a dry cough sometimes for this reason I was advice by one of the Pulmonologist and adviced to take tablet Shelcal 500, tablet Montek LC and Rotacap 200 but still now I didn't got any relief. Depends upon many other factors sir. 1. If she doesn't have any symptoms, then why in the first place Ct scan was done. 2. Spo2 reduction on walking is itself indicating that she does have exercise limitation 3. What are the PFT & dlco values. 4. CT scan films needs to be reviewed by a Pulmonologist. Only upon assessment of these can a decision be made

Everything is being advised in the video on ILD treatment. Still in brief 1. Dose kitne time lena hoga depends on case to case. 1yr to 3yr usually is given but in some cases maybe even life long. Depends for which condition we are giving. 2. Dose kam ya jyada karna ye depend karta hai patient ki tolerance pe, side effects ho rahe hai ya nahi, aur liver functions test pe.

You should consider watching the videos from part 1 to part 4 in serial order. Certain ILD's can be reversed all depending upon type of ILD, severity of presentation, lung functions, quality of rehabilitation etc. Not All cases can be reversed

My father become covid-19 positive and on day 6 of covid H.R.C.T report shows patchy ground glass areas, Sub-pleural fibrosis and consolidations are seen in all the lobes of both lung, After 14days staying in hospital my father discharge from hospital, Sir please reply how serious is it and what can I do for my father

Continue with steroids (in reducing doses) & antifibrotics for atleast 1-2 month and gradual improvement will happen in these cases

In the last covid wave we have seen patients improve upto 3-6 months where in these changes reverse over time. For this wave we are yet to see the future outcomes ....

Nothing in much. It's a very safe medicine as compared to other medicines. Most commonly seen ones are gastric reflux and increased acidity (gerd). Hemogram and kidney liver functions needs to be monitored

Kisi purane infection ke thik hone pe jo nishan raj jata hai use fibrosis in some localised area kahte hai
