Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

Just an educational comment for anyone reading, the egg is not in the intestine, it is in the oviduct, part of the chickens reproductive tract, somewhat comparable would be the mammalian fallopian tubes (but huge differences). In the oviduct the egg white is first formed, then the protein membrane then the egg shell in the shell gland or uterus. The yolk comes from the ovary in the hen. The reproductive tract, urinary tract, and GI tract all empty out of the same hole in the avian body. The intestines are a separate tube that connects to the cloaca.

@@GoldenBoy-et6of reading comprehension is important, I never said the intestines were not the GI tract, I further simplified how the intestines would appear in the body of the chicken at the very end. The GI tract of the chicken also includes the beak/oral cavity, the gizzard, and the stomach.

I love not only how he's trying different things and explaining them but that he asks questions about their cultures and how they navigate and explain concerning questions. For example endangered species, and why they eat them and how things might or might not change.... And why. It's very informative. Being in the United States I have zero clue about their cultures and why they do what they do so it's easy to form an opinion without facts, so I find this very informational and eye opening; not just for my own opinions but the the facts and way of life for locals. Thank you.

Being half Peruvian, born out of Peru, I had a hard time connecting with actual Peruvians until I lived there for a year and a half. It's very easy to pass judgment at first glance at lifestyles, but then the more you learn about the people and how really everyone is just trying to live their life, and help their family it's harder to pass judgement. And to find a solution is even harder....especially with all the government issues Peruvians have. 🙄

Your tour guide answered all of your questions candidly with honesty and with great choice of words. He is he remarkable and is well informed of everything in PERU. I believe he is very educated even with his English. His mannerism, speech and appearance reminds me of my handyman in the U.S. 😅 Sonny thank you for opening our eyes. Your videos are very educational and I am less ignorant. All I can say is that that Peruvians are utilizing what is available to them in the rich Amazon. And you are correct- is it right for people from the outside and say cut down the forest to make way for breeding livestock so that the people won't rely on eating monkeys and such? Right or wrong, the people there need to survive. AMEN.

Quite concerning but I understand why this is happening. People will do anything to have food in the table. Not everyone is privileged enough to have or afford commercially raised livestock that is why they rely on wild game. Makes me really thankful on the life I was given.

Most of these people shown were overweight. I dont know what you people are talking about "help" them?? Theres nomadic African tribes that have like 30 cows in the desert and can find enough food and water for them, Im pretty sure these chunky lads can get their hands on a pair of cows, chicken and pigs and substantially farm them like every other culture instead of them wiping out the native animal species. These people arnt like aboriginals in Australia where they can hunt native species but because of the fact they keep amazing track of their kills and have an specific number allowed. These are lazy humans being greedy.

This episode takes me back to pandemic days when people were ignorantly saying things like “Why eat bats? That’s disgusting; just eat regular meat.” So interesting to learn about the different ways people have survived in their environments through food.

I recently did my blood lab work and the results came beautiful as always . I don’t eat meat , I don’t judge people who do it but I’m glad after this video I’m not obsessed with the idea of animal protein to survive. I don’t craved it and definitely don’t want to pay any kind of price for it .

As a meat eater who doesn’t eat the meats showcased on this channel, I’ve always found it odd that we find it weird that other people eat other types of meat. An animal is an animal. We can’t pick and choose which animals are more worthy of being eaten than others. But I still find it weird that they eat these meats and it’s odd that I find it weird lol. Also, 3:24 KILLS ME 🤣
