I have a correction in regards to the creatures located on the exterior of the building. They are called "Gargoyles," not "Gremlins," as the video states. I am not trying to be a bully to the girl who was motivated to research the architectural design of our Junior High, she did a fantastic job! I also attended QJHS from 1981-1984. They used to creep me out, so I began researching the architectural design of the school myself (I mean, WHY would anyone want to use hideous looking creatures on a school?). Gargoyles, in a spiritual sense, were used as protective symbols. Because they were believed to breathe fire, the creatures protected the building from going up in flames. In Gothic Style Architecture, they serve a practical purpose as well. The statues were used to redirect rain water so that all of the beautiful masonry wasn't ruined by the weather. Thank you for offering this video online, it's great! I am just an architectural fanatic and wanted to clarify that the critters are not "Gremlins," even though they are just as adorable as the Gremlins from the movie 😉.
