IIyasah Shabazz sat down with VladTV to discuss her late father Malcolm X's life. Malcolm X played a tremendous role in the civil rights movement before being assassinated on [Febuary 21, 1965]. In the interview, Shabazz talks with us about the multiple attempts on her father's life, him being followed by the CIA, and how he sacrificed life for what he believed in.
We asked Shabazz about the three attempts on her father's that her mother mentioned in a previous interview, and she explained, "The attempts wasn't because of something going on within the nation... He wasn't being followed by the nation of Islam..it doesn't matter who pulled the trigger, what matters is who organized this assassination, unfortunately." Malcolm X's assassination happened in front of her mother, her siblings, and Shabazz. Although she was young, Shabazz explained that of her family seeing her father slain had an extreme effect on all of them, "My older sisters, Attalah, and Quibilah both remember very clearly, and very vividly seeing their father being killed... I also say the noise for anyone; a baby has to have some sort of effect.."
IIyasah continued the conversation by talking about her father's legacy, the nation of Islam's involvement in her father's death, and how much he cared for what he believed in. Check out the full clip above.

Amen yes indeed......I believe.......that's really real it's bigger than the trigger men r women it's that person who orders the hit on his life . In okay Mr Farrakhan said and I quote that Malcolm xwent against his teacher by speaking on his teacher on having sex in baby's by being dishonorable to the white man however Malcolm x called him a hypocrite all of this is true I believe I believe it could have been handled differently on both parties I believe Malcolm should have spoke with the legible Muhammad I believe they should not have killed Malcolm xwhoever killed Malcolm x whether it was the CIA and FBI are even his own people the Muslims are just random people I don't know I was not there all I know is this is a sad sad sad case and I wish that it never happened I wish we can go back in the hands of time and reverse everything I just wish everybody that had a voice was alive that's all because as a race we are very weak and we need to be strong not just physically strong but strong as no one could come in between us and make us hate each other and we need to stay together stick together and stop killing each other in this is not just now this has been going since God made this world Earth

I’m a 40 year old white Scot. I learned about Malcolm X in my Catholic school when I was 10 years old and was blown away by him. Ever since I’ve collected lots of books about him, read the autobiography countless times, watched the 1992 movie dozens of times, and thanks to platforms like KZfaq, have been able to watch clips oh him. He was and still is such an inspiration. Proof that humans can overcome ignorance and that you’re never to old to change for the better and hold your hand up when your more enlightened self sees the error of the ways of your previous self.

Just read Malcolm's autobiography. This man's life was nothing short of inspiration from his father being murdered to witnessesing his mother being sectioned in a hospital. Then in his later life being a drug addicted hustler who was eventually locked up for seven years, subsequently converting to islam in prison. Then when being released continuing his dedication to god and abstaining from all vices. His letter when he arrived back from saudi had me in tears, when he actually prophesised his death and realised the error of his ways! Rest in peace brother Malcolm We will inshallah reunite in the hereafter!

@Suffer No Fools judging by your comment you probably choose not to understand and I believe you mean prison but let me explain; Yes he went to prison. He committed numerous offences and was sentenced for it. But even in a low down dirty place like prison you can come out clean and clean he did. He was rehabilitated, became an autodidact and guided many others to a straight and clear path. And that's what he was in it for, to helping and guiding others and not for his selfish and greedy gains like Elijah and his sons who saw the movement as their very own cash cow. That's what I meant by "a straight man in a crooked system." Malcolm said it best, " sometimes those with the worst pasts make the best futures."

I was talking about brother Malcolm X, the other day. My mother was pregnant with me when she would go to his lectures and when I were five years old, we would listen to his lectures on albums. His daughter is speaking of so many factors that contributed to the demise of her father. One the top factors that a human being always suffers is jealousy and envy, very unfortunate. Very few people can focus on what must be done for the benefit of all, with the realization that it's never about yourself. I've always loved and appreciated brother Malcolm X and his family for the sacrifices that you continue to make for your father's legacy. Love and Peace to everyone and stay safe.
