I can remember when John Lennon released this album in September 1971. I bought the album when it came out and listened a lot. I was only 11 years old at the time. My mom was a young mother and liked The Beatles but when she heard me listening to songs like Gimme Some Truth and How Do You Sleep and Crippled Inside she commented that maybe the album was a little inappropriate for me to be listening to.
