Great rant video. Yeah I really do hope we see a paradigm shift in the industry soon. We are already seeing it with layoffs but I really hope the indie section is where the last bastion of good games are being created. On the topic of a "power fantasy" I really cannot see how increasing a number to many is seen as good game design. I get a looter shooter would have it but I never really liked grinding the end game just because mah number go up. Like The Division with super sponges created for the feeling of "challenge" Helldivers gets it right with 9 difficulties that actually feel like a power fantasy and hell in others. No extra health just more coming at you at once.

Haha I haven’t been the most attentive when it comes to zombies but I definitely see the crap they slap on the games and call it “zombies” that’s a potential idea!
