it was in development hell for years until now I think one of the main people originally working on it a few years ago died so things got pushed back

@@gentlesavage2068 The person creating it (Masao Maruyama) is still alive. He made the studio in a way that it can function and make his personal projects after he passes. The show was just low on budget till Netflix swooped in.

Author is same as Monster's. I have read manga , it is dark scifi thrill story based on an event in astro boy ( the first anime). It is very good show/Manga ❤

The manga for Pluto adapted a single arc from OG AstroBoy but put Urasawa's darker tone on it. Kinda like the recent adaptation of Dororo (another work of Tezuka).
