I want to humbly thank you from the bottom of my audio engineer heart, Jems. I learned a lot after experimenting with your hack. As zoom's website manual smuggly states "no, we dont import anything" I appreciate that you shared your wisdom. I am here to stress that if you wish to import a pre-existing mixdown file into the zoom device, you must do as Jems says and record anything on 1 and 2 (even dead air) to the length of what that pre-existing track is. (could be 10 seconds..could be 10:32 seconds. make it the same or longer. This way, you can create some thing on your home computer, record a the correct length of dead air in the same format as the import file swap the imports name with that of the dead air (and make a back up copy!) and delete the dead air from the sd and replace it with import audio. Then you can go out and do remote session work on top of what you made, non destructively.

so if i understand correctly basically you are hacking the file system of the h6 by recording a file then inserting the sd card into a computer and replacing it with a different file w the same name as the h6 gave it when recorded, clever trick.

You can just copy files named like the mono or stereo tracks you need, then go into projext menu and select rebuild project.

Hello Your video hits my purpose. And indeed no video on H6 cover this usage. But I can refine even more the purpose : As the provided LR mic is highly qualitative, I want to have all my takes done with it. An someway, I want to have the procedure to shift/move a LR take to paired 12 or 34 channels. Best is have it done solely with the H6, but if possible on computer, it is satisfactory ! Can you help me ? best regards
