Hi, I’m Nick and this is a show about Art. This show is all about your art and your creations. Hi! Welcome to my new series - A Show About Art! I created this series as a way of inspiring myself and others to keep creating art. So many times, artists tell me that they have trouble thinking of things to draw next - sometimes they get bored of the way they draw and sometimes they just don’t know where to start with new materials.
From personal experience, it can definitely feel very intimidating to try new things like digital art, watercolours and oil paints for the first time! The goal of this show is to tackle these everyday artist problems together!

Haha, yep! Awesome looking goat skull btw. I've always been reluctant to try this challenge but I love the texture and the aged look in your piece so much I'm actually considering it XD

Oh cool! I love how yours came out! I tried this a few years back with tea & coffee, but was having a hard time getting the values dark enough, so I added some watercolors. This is how it came out: www.flickr.com/photos/bunnykissd/16831818448/in/album-72157621746869740/ I decided I like to drink my coffee & tea better. XD

Thanks Diana! Unfortunately I couldn't view the link because I don't have an account! I get what you mean though, it's difficult to create dark tones even if you make a strong and potent mixture! How did the watercolours interact with the coffee? Normally?

Oh my goodness! I had the image still set to private! I am so sorry. You should be able to see it now if you're interested. The watercolors acted the same as usual but working over the coffee would actually lift it, so I had to be careful to not lose some of my detail.
