You've never seen anything like this! Trial run of our home built fast, efficient, back saving firewood processing center! Making firewood has never been so easy in our Woodyard. Our goal is to one day own a legit firewood processor, but for now we are trying to be as efficient as we can be with the equipment we have. Over the past few years I have been piecing together different firewood tools such as our All Wood Muscle Wood log splitter and feed table. The Balfour Samurai 700 buzz saw, Kioti RX7320 tractor, Ram Splitter 3pt log grapple, Log Rite picaroons, Ochsenkopf Hookaroons, and more in order to assemble a homemade processor of sorts. We understand that buying a firewood processor is a huge investment and out of reach for some, so hopefully this set up will give others ideas as to how they can improve their process with some of these ideas. We will continue to adapt, improvise, and improve as we go but I’d say the first run was a success! Thanks Matt from ‪@FirewoodontheHill‬ for motivating me to get this plan moving. ‪@fricknjeep‬

I 100% recommend the All Wood Log splitters. I have the Oak series with a six way wedge. I have had two of the Timberwolf TW-5 log splitters and the All Wood Splitter is by far the best one made. Bobby, the owner was great to work with and through his dedication and commitment to making the best log splitter made he has done just that.

Be nice to just have an elevation drop between the saw and the splitter, you could just feed the table from the rollers and be done. Prolly be easier and less expensive to raise the saw and log deck than to make a conveyor. You could fab adjustable legs and make a work platform to stand on with stairs fairly easy.

The only thing that I would change aside from the conveyors as you pointed out is, I would put your measure marker on a pivot, so you’re not reaching into the samurai to pull out that firewood round. That works great. Nice set up. But it looks awkward to get the logs of the saw bench. Your twisting your back there quite a bit Heath. I would change the measuring stop to the other side, tractor side. That way it would make it easier to get the cut wood off. Just my thinking. And if it could be done, the set on the saw blade teeth could be wider. That may help with the blade not getting stuck. Just some thoughts, I could be way off track. Have a great day team. 👍🏻

So, all this work makes me believe you need a Japa processor or something similar. Then you could sell me the All Wood😁!

Lol, I’d love a real processor but still think we’d need the All Wood for the bigger stuff. Once we get everything ironed out and add an elevator I think we’ll really crank out some wood.

The Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It’s a great and relaxing place to go. Very country with huge Forrest’s everywhere. Not very commercialized at all.

Heath you want to be careful about binding up the blade that creates a lot of heat fast , and a hot blade walks back and forth. You don’t want that.

At 3139, you see how she stuck her hand in the splitter as it was moving. That's why you should keep one hand at all times on the lever that engages the splitter. The other hand you've got on the stick. Safety safety safety.
