Aspirin triggers the SARs response of tomato plants which turns on their defenses to prevent fungal diseases from taking hold. Using 325 mg of aspirin regularly improves tomato plant health and production. I also show you the basic tomato planting hole.

My tomatoes look stunted. I've given them fertilizer, so I think I'll try the aspirin on them. We do get extreme heat at the beginning of July . Plus, my transplant Cucumbers I discovered I had cutworms.

The only leaves we have access to are live oak and citrus. These types of leaves take ages to break down. I use them any way only partially broken down and they still seem to help. I had heard this information before but forgotten it, I need to post it on the wall of my garden shed.

Because of my physical limitations I can only carry a half gallon jug at a time. Should I cut the aspirin in half? I put the agro thrive 3-3-5 in the jug with the aspirin and surface water my plants. I absolutely love the agro thrive products. I used it on my carrots and I've never grown such large carrots before. Thanks for your help.

I have a beefsteak tomato plant in a 5 gallon bucket of hydro nutrient solution and its sibling is in soil in a pot. I have the bucket under the edge of my camper roof and keep a 15w full spectrum bulb on it at night. It`s 7 or 8 feet tall and the one in soil is 2 feet tall. I have to water all my pots 4 times per day and soon they will need water ever 4 hours. This is why I`m switching to hydro. My tomato in the bucket has grown since March without additional water & nutrients.

A down side to the aspirin is it will curl the leaves and give a rough leather like apperance. Tried this a two different plants growing in two seperate gardens. Although may be aesthetics, will refrain from using in future. Plants were very healthy in apperance prior to using.

I’ve seen a few videos and read some studies on calcium silicate in the form of wollastonite being good for powdery mildew but also used for calcium and to help plants uptake nutrients better but I’ve never seen anyone do a side by side test to see if there are any real differences. Has anyone else on here heard of this ? Thanks

Hi Gary, I just sprayed my tomatoes with my asprin. I just spotted some black spots on two leaves of one plant (I cut them off) and am wondering if I can give my plants another asprin shower? Thanks.

I did this last year. No idea if it works beyond chunking up the leaves lol. I ignored your advice and sprayed every plant with no control and the year before I was growing them in a totally different way in buckets. And I'm growing in yet another way this year so I really will have no way of knowing haha.
