⚡️ABOUT JESÚS MOLINA
Meet Jesús Molina, a virtuoso pianist from Colombia who has taken the global music scene by storm with his incredibly complex harmony, fast fingers and cheerful demeanor. Molina has worked with artists such as Jordan Rudess, Zedd, Marco Minnemann, Rudy Perez, Eric Marienthal, Gabriela Soto, Randy Brecker, Randy Waldman, Jesus Adrian Romero, John Patitucci and many others.
In 2016, Molina received the prestigious Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation®️ award, the Juan Luis Guerra Scholarship which included music education at the renowned Berklee College of Music with all expenses paid. Today he is one of the rising stars on the international jazz scene.
ABOUT LISA WITT
I love to help students unlock their full musical potential. I have taught in a wide variety of settings from Music for Young Children to helping recording artists prepare their songs for the road. I also have specialized experience working with children that struggle with learning, developmental, and physical disabilities. While my background is classical, I’m currently focusing on helping my students play the music they love by ear! I’m excited to be a part of YOUR journey as you learn how to sight read, play by ear, and progress through musical theory. It is going to be fun!

Quick question! How do you avoid gaps in your playing? The song I'm learning right now I'm not moving my left hand fast enough to the next key.
@andresbienrico
@andresbienrico 2 жыл бұрын
Remember to also move your wrist and your arm - these should be the ones giving you your movement across wide intervals, instead of the fingers alone. Almost like an invisible string tugs on your wrist to the right or to the left, and your hand - because of how the wrist was tugged by the invisible string - moves at the same speed, in the same direction. Hope it helps!
@StiIIGaming
@StiIIGaming 2 жыл бұрын
Playing the correct note at a slow speed is more important. The speed will come it might just take a few days or even a little longer. Be patient with yourself. You could also just practice that specific jump over and over being as slow as it needs to be to maintain accuracy of course. You’ve got this. 👊🎹

HI, I'm a beginner :) How (03:14) are those chords Gm11 and Dm11 built? In my ignorance I see some keys missing and some in a different order when I compare those chords with the red pressed keys.
@emiliocuberos
@emiliocuberos 2 жыл бұрын
My own clumsy novice answer: Gm11 “should be” G, Bb, D, F, A and C. But I read that “calling something an 11 chord doesn't necessarily mean that all of the extensions will be there, it only implies the presence of extensions. So a 11-chord might or might not have the 3rd, the 5th, and/or the 9th, depending on how it's voiced. But it will definitely have the root, the 7th, and the 11th, plus a selection of the other intervals”. And also Jesús here kind of changes the order of some notes of the chord, which I suppose that is also… voicings? And technically, if “most” the notes of the Gm11 chord are present, it’s still a Gm11.
