Lot's of work to clean the board and replace the switches. Looks like cola was spilled on the board (Pepsi Syndrome?) and destroyed some traces.

That's the good thing about doing a video of taking something apart. You can watch it again when you need to put it back together. A friend did that when he was doing a brake job. It helped a lot.

I like fixing test gear. my last treasure was a Kikusui electronic load. It was dirt cheap, inop but in good condition. I was lucky and all it needed was a $3 MOV. Tested within oem specs w/o any adjustments. :) now I want to find something else. I look forward to seeing your project come to a success!

The Kikusui load is a classic. I looked for a cheap one for a long time. I ended up building a DIY one. I'm with you, fixing test equipment is my favorite thing.
