@@prohindWhile it is true that Congress is yet to finish, Congress have not got clear majority since 1984. It is out of power in Gujarat, WB, Bihar, UP, Bihar, Tamilnadu, Orissa for more than 25 years and in some states for more than 50 years. It vote share hovers around 20 to 30 percentage. It's space is now slowly being occupied by regional parties. It has not been able to defeat BJP in straight fight in last two general elections. General perception of Congress continues to be anti Hindu, Dynast and corrupt. Unfortunately their deeds does nothing to eradicate this perception. It continues to harp on issues like nafrat and democracy which does not find traction.

@@bharatdave6288: Today's BJP is just like 90's Congress. Congress downfall had started after winning 400 seats. This year BJP is also expecting to win 400 seats. Hindus took 50 years to understand that Congress is anti Hindu, Dynast and corrupt and then punished it as BJP was ready to replace it. With toady fast media, Hindus will take next 5 to 10 years to understand that BJP is also anti Hindu, One man show and corrupt. But they will face the dilemma of finding BJP's replacement. So there is scope of new pro Hindu political force to emerge as replacement of BJP.

It is people like Satyanarayan Gangadhar Pitroda who are responsible for the emasculation of Hindus over the decades, starting with the "Mahatma". We are dealing with 200 million or more of our fellow citizens who follow a faith that is basically a fascist political system. And this Pitroda guy is asking us, like the Mahatma, to not protect our identity. He has strong opinions and we don't agree with most of them.

One question is are any institutions really independent in any country, we have seen FBI fiasco in us , what is happening with Triumph, I am poor and from upper caste and because of my caste I always have to pay for my education so yes there is caste discrimination in India. His idea of democracy sitting in US does not help India

Sam is still living in the old era of 80-90. He and the party which he supports are disconnected from the people and real world. Barkha has asked right questions where he had to find some escape under the same of personal opinion. Next 5 years he has to write many books like this with zero effects on the ground. 10:25 Sam says: "What does 8 percent growth mean, ask that question?" That's is a fair point. Then he goes on to say, "... distribute free food..." which is also fair. The thing is BJP already does it and it has in fact improved the efficiency of the food distribution schemes; the large number of bank accounts, and direct benefit transfer are cases in point. So what else does Mr. Pitroda think that dear RaGa will bring to the table? I agree with his proposal on decentralisation and letting local communities be self-reliant. More of an anarcho-syndicalist point of view, which is better than communism, and which somewhat similar to how Hindu communities have historically organised themselves. We should start by transferring the control of Hindu temples from SECULAR govt to local communities Let the donations of the temple be used by them for their own betterment.

Sam Pitroda should apply his idea of democracy first on Congress party and state governments ruled by Congress. He should also tell how his Idea of Democracy was followed by the Congress central governments in the past. Democracies are finally defined by the people i.e. nothing can be imposed. For example the courts' enforcing the constitution is as per the wishes of the people who can create, amend and replace the constitition. Sam Pitroda seems to preach what he himself will not follow.
