If you use the black grease tube, with a small dab of grease at the tip it works well for picking up the balls for the thrust washer, also the silicone diff grease tube for the inner balls

Your videos helped me with my 8ight but I did have a problem with the rear diff shims. the 8ight ts mesh seems super stiff.

Heads up when building the kit ball diff on the tlr22 4.0. On the last two kits I built, part# tlr2955 (male outdrive) had a small machining defect that does not let the bearing set flush.

Kevin Heller how long ago was it that you had this problem? We did find out about this problem end of last year but has been fixed.

Team Losi Racing the first time was last year, but the second one was two weeks ago. The kit must have been old stock,but nevertheless I missed a points race because of it.

Kevin Heller sorry you missed a race. Yes we have fixed the problem with the vendor. Shouldn't be a problem moving forward.

Kevin great video man. Were you able to further explore the option of using the G2 gear diff when you drive on clay or dirt tracks? You mentioned that the late Brian Kinwald was testing this option with a 500,000ct oil on the Horizon track. Do you know if anyone at TLR tested this option or have any recommendation for oil weight?
