The purpose of this clip is to educate the public on the raw power of emotional tv and movie scenes. No copyright infringement intended.
I think this scene in particular is often overlooked in this movie. I think it's suppose to be part of the climax of the whole movie atleast on dom's part.
For this scene particularly watch for the following quotes:
Mal: Remember when you asked me to marry you?
Dom: Yes..
Mal: You said you dreamt that we would grow old together.
Dom: But we did. We did, you don't remember?....I miss you more than I can bear... But we had our time together. And I have to let you go. I have to let you go...

The saddest thing about this scene it’s Cobb convincing himself. He’s talking to no one but himself and she’s not even there to witness or hear it. Such bittersweetness...

The whole movie is brilliant, but this scene especially is indescribable. It would be tough to find many movies that convey this much emotion and love without making it a love movie. Both their acting here gets me every, single, time.

Your best friend. Your spouse. Your love. Telling them, “We had our time together. I have to let you go.” - Wow. Such a short scene but so incredibly emotional. Beautiful work, Mr. Nolan & team.

I'm here. Now. I have to do this to my girlfriend. When you know it's toxic. When you know her presence doesn't make a difference anymore. When she has changed beyond recognition but isn't ready to change for me. When she can't know what's right or what's wrong. We had our time together. But I have to let her go.

Cobb's character is tragic, he was able to spend a lifetime of happyness with his wife before her death but that only made the pain worse for him.

The emotion Chris Nolan is able to inflict on his viewer is unbeatable, truly the best filmmaker working today without competition,, (Okay there is some competition obviously but it's just my opinion; no other filmmaker makes me feel the way I do watching a story being told through Nolan's vision)

This scene hard to watch... me and my ex seen this movie many times and i was so in love with her... but its bittersweet because she doesnt know how hard it was for me to let her go even though i did nothing wrong... it hurts and relieves at the same time... what a scene that can make emotion feel that way. And the thing that sucks is she will never grasp or understand it even though i do... again bittersweet...

Word for word I went through the same thing. Now, 10 years later, I've finally decided to willingly move on and saying goodbye as she dies in my arms just like in this scene. It was my favorite movie at the time and I remember watching it with her when she bought it for me on DVD for my birthday. This scene is though to watch now than it was back in the day, but after she left me, I knew I was gonna have to go through this same scenario and I think the time is now. And it really really hurts to accept. I'll watch the movie one last time before I give it away or throw it out.
