Copper should go into powered rails, not gold. It's really obvious gold was just a stand-in for copper anyways. "Power" is carried by copper way more often than gold, and it just makes people less willing to use rails.

5:36 You could potentially petrify wood by having dripstone with a water source above it drip onto your wood, since wood petrifies from groundwater and the minerals in it replacing the organic material. Maybe you would need dripstone to be attached to a raw ore block to supply the minerals? But it would give dripstone even more use and allow you to fireproof all your wooden bases!

Every slab, except for endstone and the wood ones, has the same blast resistance of 6. As a result sandstone slabs have more blast resistance, than sandstone and even funnier is that you can put two of those slabs together to make a sandstone block that looks the same, but still has a higher blast resistance.

Another thing to add on to inconsistent crafting recipes is the different recipes between Java and Bedrock. The biggest 3 are boats, barrels, and tipped arrows. On bedrock, boats need a wooden shovel in the center to make the oar, meanwhile Java doesn’t. On Java, you need full wood planks instead of sticks on the sides of the barrel making it a fat bit more expensive too. As for tipped arrows, Java forces you to make them using lingering potions for only 8 tipped arrows in return (which effectively make them harder to make and not worth your time), meanwhile bedrock lets you easily make a lot more by putting any potion in a cauldron and the amount of tipped arrows you get back from it ranges from 16 all the way to a full stack depending on how full the cauldron is (1/3 full = 16 tipped arrows, 2/3 = 32, and a full cauldron gives you 64) which actually makes it worth making them
@HOPEfullBoi01
@HOPEfullBoi01 Жыл бұрын
I think boat recipe needs to require a shovel in both editions just so it makes more sense and is a tiny bit less extremely easy to craft one. I'm tired of the argument "Minecraft isn't supposed to be a realistic game" because this one has nothing to do with nitpicky real life details, I just want something that makes sense within the game itself. Barrels and composters should probably have both recipes in both editions. The stick recipe could give you one while the slab recipe gives two. As for tipped arrows that would require the whole system of cauldron mechanics so I don't think that parity is coming any time soon if ever.

The reason they don't let you put meat into the composter is because generally speaking, you shouldn't put meat in your compost.... Yes, it can compost, but it also can turn very nasty very quick. In the sense that you now have a compost full of maggots now. Meat tends to attract flies which creates maggots which will eat the meat. Generally speaking, many experienced composters will tell you to just not fool with putting meat in your compost.

Using different wood types to make different workstations actually makes a lot of sense. Aside from making obtaining them more interesting, the real life equivalents for the woods are dramatically different in strength, so it would make sense that a smithing table requires stronger wood than a loom or fletching table
@wintyrbarnes8533
@wintyrbarnes8533 Жыл бұрын
you already need a specific wood type to make a workstation anyway (barrels are only spruce and they're the fisherman workstation). then, depending on the biome, you might have a better or worse chance to find villagers with the associated trade (if you want to trade with a bunch of fletchers, find a birch village, etc).

for the potion inconsistency.. what if the items you use to make them are the flowers you use to craft the sus stew, and the effects can't be buffed with redstone or glowstone? this could also create a use for mundane, long mundane, and thick potions example: a golden carrot gives you saturation, right? but a golden carrot also brews a night vision potion what if you just use a different base (like mundane), to get a saturation potion..? that actually sounds kinda dumb using saturation as an example and a golden carrot... but maybe you could use the flower that makes saturation stew for a saturation potion

Cauldrons are clearly magical, duh! Witches brew potions in there after all! Sarcasm aside, that’s the best explanation I can come up with for their odd behavior with water. Also, maybe the ambient temperature of the nether isn’t actually _too_ hot, but the air is just almost completely dry? And that’s why the ice doesn’t spontaneously melt, but the open water source blocks instantly boil off? Like the air is in that sweet spot to not melt or sublimate the packed or blue ice, which has unique atomic/ molecular structures that make it more resilient (different types of water ice actually exist in the real world, some which much more resilient properties!), but it’s also just warm and dry enough to instantly boil or evaporate off the liquid water?

you raised some good points but here's another one. The stone cutter has a saw that can cut through stone and give you 1 for 1 stairs that doesn't work on wood and you still have to use that wasteful crafting table recipe for all wooden stairs. Where is my wood saw? And where are the sideways slabs? How an I supposed to make arrow loops on a castle without sideways slabs?

I gotta say, having items be one specific type of wood only and not being able to mix wood types is so annoying sometimes, especially for items like chests that require a large amount of materials and only link up with another of the same type. If anything, minecraft needs more materials to work interchangably. There's so much clutter around with all the types of blocks and items.

That being said, I do want stone types to share all their features instead of only certain ones. The fact that every new stone type since Blackstone has both polished and brick variants, but Diorite, Granite and Andesite only have polished variants is annoying. But again, Vanilla Tweaks for Java does give you a resource pack that makes polished Andesite, Diorite and Granite look like bricks instead. The petrified slabs are bassically renamed alpha slabs. When slabs were first introduced in minecraft, notch made the base id for wooden slabs the same as stone slabs and only added a variation. When multiple wood types of slabs were introduced, the alpha slab just remained in the old worlds as one of the secret blocks. They still had an id and still existed but you couldnt obtain them anymore. Then, 1.13 came where all the id system was completly revamped. When the devs saw the alpha slab,they decided to not remove it from the game, but to add it in the creative menu as petrified oak slab. There arent multiple variants for the petrified one because the oak one was the only one that actually existed and i guess because of tradition.

Armor stands should have a customization GUI Where you can: - make your own pose for the stand - change the wood type or color the stand - custimize the size of the armor stand (baby armor stand, iron golem sized stand, enderman sized stand) - make any limb invisible and stone plate -let armor stands wear banners or elytra on shoulders without taking chest plate space

I don't understand how azaleas can be trees, I work in landscaping in the south eastern US where they are insanely popular, they are always bushes, they don't have any large trunk to hold itself up and they top out at like 7 or 8 feet

for the number 9 I gotta say that they tried making horses more minecraft consistent with pixel and model bits they changed and people firstly yelled at them for doing so and later never said anything positive about it all together so it feels like they will get yelled at if they touch some of the mobs.

If I am correct the reason for the sand not being able to be dyed, is because it gets its color from minerals in the sand. red sand being, dont quote me on this i dont know how this works to well, from high amounts of iron oxide. And to go and dye sand it is usally a more indepth prosses then just crush flower put flower in sand and then mix. From what I can tell you need to get the dye in a liquid form, so in minecraft it would be more like, dye cauldron of water, and then place sand in it. So the reason why sand is not dye able is because the red sand is not dyed sand, it is sand with high amounts of iron oxide in it.

Petrified wood is actually just the old version of wood, that had the same code as stone or whatever, and mojang kept it in the game as a memory from the old versions of minecraft. Thats why there are no other variants

@@Rohan-iq6zb yes, yes it is. And it turns to concrete when water touches it. A niche use to have colorful sand, but a use all the same, and a chance to build up an diffrent pallette, and a chance to get simple but world immersing biome variants like black and white sand beaches. Most importantly though, is never underestimate the value of small projects for any company, but ones reliant on creativity and technical skill small and simple side work can act as a cleanser and freshen the mind for big work. You never know what performance boosting overhauls might come from them
