Totally agree with these tips. My problem at the moment, i.e. outside the car boot season, is that I just can’t find the stock to list a load of new items everyday. I am ending and selling similar to create a least a couple of “new” listings everyday.

Bundle them,10 or 20 at a time or more. 2000AD are sought after. List them as consecutive so buyers can follow the stories along.

I liked jim Sparky reply here BUT i would add one more thing and that is pack them to convenient weights and sizes to suit shipping. give good discounts larger purchases this way you can move them quicker and those listings will rank better too.

Thanks! Yeah you could do this, you could even get ahead and schedule your listings days in advance so they go up each day at a certain time

I’ve been trying a new method for January. List 10, save 10 (drafts) and find 10 items. Been doing this daily. Been getting much more consistent sales and better at managing my items ( I’ve got a death pile and a half)

If it’s your own personal stuff I’d just not get a store, but that’s totally up to you, yeah the naming is important on your listings just try and include everything you can. The name of your account or store doesn’t really matter though hope this helps

I would do it in the evening as there are more people at home at that time. Between 7 and 9 in the evening is the busy times

I hit 15k sales yesterday but sales have slowed down i list 30 daily have done past 2yr , i sell wax melts but anything i can sell really.i make eliquid too but been sell it locally since 2016 , your like me😆😆 i buy anything that will sell my house is loaded we shyte, i have a spare bedroom full of gear

Whilst you’re on the subject does a sell similar count towards your 5 a day or does it have to be totally new? Also are you saying you actively take the recommended percentage off your promoted listing and adjust it to 2%? Cheers 👍

Hi, I don’t count those sell similar as my 5 a day, I try and get proper brand new ones up for those, yes I adjust them all to 2% :)

Im looking at global shipping,im Scotland, i sell wax melts which are in high demand with customers, is global as simple as shipping to ebay and not a hassle? Is global shipping postage costs different for us or do Ebay take control of that part?

I promote my listings up to 10% (variable, but most sell at 7-10%) would that make much of a difference instead of just 2%? I end up paying an awful lot more in fees!

I never use more than 2%, but that’s just me, seems to do the trick, any more and I’m losing out I feel, whatever works tho!

You are falling into a trap. Sure Ebay say they recommend 10% and i am sure next time you look they will be recommending 15% if you keep up with what you are doing. Let it go at 2% or make more lisitngs. frankly i am more inclined the volume of listings work better.

I'm about to drop that back to 2-3% actually. I've accidentally gone too close to the VAT bracket across my eBay and Amazon businesses, so speaking to an accountant on Monday to sort that. Hoping that by dropping the promotion down a lot, it'll help cover a chunk of the VAT payment.

This works for the first day, then after that nothing. I tried all of this but after a day or so everything stops no matter if I list every day for a month. It’s 100% something eBay do, it doesn’t help that eBay doesn’t show your listing 24/7. I’ve been selling on eBay 20 years so I’ve experimented with everything
