I was at the United game and a Man U fan, if the team showed as much passion as the Villa fans did throughout the game from minute 1 this club would have no problems at all. The Villa fans where incredible and never stopped singing despite everything going on at the club.

There were big problems at Villa for years before they finally got relegated (revolving door of managers, very little investment, huge lack of experience until they bought loads of rejects in their final year, already fighting relegation the previous two seasons). I think it’s wrong that a single defender is blamed in this way: even if John Terry was there at the time, Villa would have still got relegated. You have a point about tweeting fast cars/holidays etc (not my style at all, I don’t post anything like that on social media) but in the modern era the vast majority of footballers are like that.
