Steve Sr. shows off a beautiful vintage Gretsch Round Badge 6-ply drum set! These are sized 14x22", 9x13", 16x16", and 5.5x14" and are finished in an extremely clean Midnight Blue Pearl wrap. These drums are in nearly-mint condition!

Happy you’re digging the drums! These were mine, that said I’m more of 2 & 4 guy so the 80’s rosewood kit I got from you is more my speed. Hope these are enjoyed and babied for another 60 years!

I have this exact kit!! Been in my family for 55+ years. It belonged to my father, I learned on it as well. They’ve been untouched since the mid-90s and I’m doing a restoration on them now.

I'm in the same situation...these were my dad's 1st kit and he never got rid of them and I just took them today to get them restored...can't wait to see and hear them when done! They haven't been played since the 70's!

Simply stunning and if I might add, the selected cymbals, for my ears, are perfectly matched….. too bad the cymbals set had been split. I love all Drums, but I most certainly love Gretsch Drums! Thanks Steve, I’ll bet I watch this again.

Great sounding kit. People please be aware Steve is a massive player and could make a wet cardboard box sound great.

I have a 70s slingerland kit that I wrapped in that finish..i love it and people ask I thought only gretch had that ..it was taken off the site the next year.

That Great Gretsch sound Being from Brooklyn by way of Harlem ..I had to indulge in a 59 rb starlight..which you know I'd rare ..you got a gem there Steve.. I use custom bovid heads..Ryan cuts spec for me ..the snare was challenging but now with the correct heads and new wire ..it's period sound is spot on for all.the drums..very close to what Art Blakeys sounded like on a dry day Istanbul are superb ..as well Anyone looking for Gretsch .. Im.a big fan of the Collette mount ..when behind the kit you look giant..from.the stage perspective. I'm building a canister throne to not match but compliment..I don't think Gretsch ever built cannister to my knowledge..

Love the kit, Steve. Just my opinion - the floor tom could be tuned down a tad. It sounds choked and twangy.

How much would a kit cost? My first set was a Slingerland 4 piece Gene Krupa in sparkling pink champagne pearl foom Niles ILL. My home town where the Slingerland factory was located. My Dad rip worked fore the Niles public works dept. and got them for cost. I was I think in the the 4th or 5th grade and took my 1st drum lessons at carnes or Karnes music in Niles ILL. Know I’m 67 living in San Diego area, 50 min. North of SD Calif. I love watching your channel. God Bless, Dominick
