I'm from Guam and enjoyed watching your video. Great job with your beef kelaguen. Glad that you loved Guam and loved at least one of our local dishes enough to take the time to learn to make it and pass on the flavors to your friends. I'm still waiting to hear about the rest of the story about the container with the Jack Daniels. LOL.

Awesome job making beef kelaguen! 👍 I am a Chamorro from Guam and it's so wonderful to know that the island left you with a good impression! Just a tip tho to make it easier just use lemon juice in the bottle. It's way faster. 😉

Over all great video! I've been living here my entire life and I'm chamorro. Thank you for sharing this recipe. One of our most popular side dishes. You could do the same with bland bbq'd chicken. Debone and chop up the chicken and do the process the same way. Tastes so much better if you add coconut to the chicken keleguen. 🥰

Where's the boonie peppers? I was in Guam in 1992 to 94. Been thinking about this dish for a couple weeks now. My Lady friend was telling me about Asian fusion dish that sounded just like it. I'm trying to figure out a time to match up with her to go try it, but I might just make it myself. Thank you for this. One veteran brother to another, Ty

I bought the lemon powder just like we used when I was there but did not have any when I made the video. I cannot remember if the powder was used with the lemon juice or by itself.

If they didn't have cows in Guam what animal did they get their beef? Are you confusing us or maybe they got it from BATS? Where they cannibals in the 1800? Can you please tell us where they got it?

The cattle and dishes came from the Philippines. It was a way to make the meat last longer, or so I have read. I am not quite that old.

Regardless I think it’s great that you know how to make this and some who are from Guam don’t!! Dried peppers or fresh peppers you have the basics down so whatever you like using that’s how you make it. I like adding soy sauce on mine…not a lot but a table spoon of it lol but nice shout out to people of Guam 🤗
