The last time I was there, I had to tell her that next time, I want Volux XC on my jawline. She just said ok, didn't even get excited or offered suggestions. 😅 She was highly recommended and she is very sweet. The place has a great reputation and they have been in business for a long time. But if I come in and tell you, I'm serious about this, I have a budget of 6k to 8k a year to get injectables and facials done at your practice, let's plan and you don't react?! I have told her repeatedly and nothing. I had Botox for the first time at 49, and I'm 52 presently. Believe me, I have saved for this 😂😂😂😂 Top the fact that I discovered that Botox in my forehead keeps my tension headaches away. So every 4 months I'm there. The level of frustration is so high that right now, I have been researching other places here in Las Vegas, but of course, I want to be extra careful. I don't want to jump around. 😂😂 sorry for the long venting session!

Thanks so much for your comment! Great question. Yes and No. I could not have skipped the filler to her lips or under eyes because you can’t use Sculptra to these areas. Also filler is better for chin enhancements because it’s a thick gel and adds structure to the skin. I could have skipped her nasolabial folds though and treated that area with Sculptra instead of filler.

Can you address my comment on smile line filler?

Great questions and I was just talking with her about this. We did not dissolve her filler before doing Sculptra. The main reason I used filler the first time is because of a few reasons. One being we were doing a lip enhancement which can only be done with filler and so it made sense to treat her nasolabial folds as well with filler. 2, when someone has never had other injectables other than Botox, they may be better off seeing an instant result. I did suggest to her that Sculptra would be better long term because as we age, we age all over and I can treat multiple areas with Sculptra. I actually love correcting my smile lines with Sculptra, but I also use filler to the fine lines in the area of my smile lines, but I love the way Sculptra spreads and the fact that I don’t feel it, vs I can feel where my filler is. She also agreed that she also saw a better difference treating her smile lines w/ Sculptra vs Filler. As much as I love Sculptra, filler is great at correcting the superficial fine lines.

Thank you for sharing your story! If you are like her w/ low body fat and you work out a lot I think Sculptra has advantages over filler. You won’t be able to use it in your lips though. Hi Trina thanks for sharing your story. Sculptra is great for temples but it is not robust like filler so it’s not going to be able to project your chin in the same way that filler can. Not sure if a certain amount of time is going to make the skin “bounce back.” When people who are overweight lose weight they can notice aging because the facial fat camouflaged facial aging if that makes sense, but I really can’t give advice without seeing the person.

Do you have the video? You never know if she got a black market Sculptra. I can’t tell you how many people hit me up online to order products thru them vs the actual sales rep. @@NaturalInjector you're talking about the less you need after the first year of Botox because of the muscle atrophy. The long-term (decades) of Botox builds up immunity. Also the cost of starting early so I will stick to my opinion.

Please feel free to back up what you are stating with studies that actually show that most people who start Botox young will eventually build up immunity. You can put them here in the comment section because I have been doing this for years and I know other providers who have been doing this for several years and immunity it’s not been an issue and it’s not something that I worry about. I have heard of maybe 2 ppl in my life saying they were immune out of the hundreds of thousands of people who get Botox. Furthermore the people who get a lot of units for medical use don’t really build up immunity let alone the lower dosages in cosmetic use. I’m not saying it can never happen but we are probably talking about less than 0.5% or even less than that.

yes I did, that's why I only commented about the lighting. You could make a designated area in your office with consistenet lighting for every patient on every day, so the results are better visible and there is no doubt about what shadow comes from the angle of the light and which is due to your amazing work. A facelift is an invasive surgical procedure. Not everyone wants to have surgery if there are alternatives. Also if you waited to get a facelift you would have to look older until you got the procedure done. That would mean someone in their 20’s who was starting to notice aging would have to do nothing until they were ready for a facelift. That’s not really a practical idea. Also how would a facelift have helped to project her chin?…How would a facelift have helped enhance her lips? How would a facelift have helped her frown lines and forehead lines? How would a facelift have helped her tear troughs?…

@NaturalInjector Surgery isn't for everyone. There's no question a facelift will work better for things like jowls and under eye bags (if someone gets that done). The smile lines soften when the cheeks are lifted. Fill might create lift, but there's no comparison and filler can be overdone.

I am actually experimenting with Sculptra to my neck. It depends on how much excess skin. Is the excess skin because of weight loss and how much loss of elasticity is there.
