I made a fruit roll cake with lots of cream rolled into it.
The trick to making the rolls is to whip the cream to a stiff consistency and to make a core before placing the fruit on top and rolling it.
Since it is made separately, there is no need to prepare boiling water, and it can be made in a jiffy.
I really wanted to make a roll cake with agar jelly wrapped around the roll cake, but...
It's not easy to make the cake I had in mind...
▷Ingredients(375mm×240mm):
■Swiss roll
4 egg white
80g sugar
4 egg yolks
50g cake flour
20g water
20g vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
■Whipping cream
200ml heavy cream
20g sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 orange
▷How to make:
1. make the cake rolls. Separate the eggs into egg whites and yolks, leaving the yolks at room temperature.
2. Add the sugar to the egg whites in 3 parts to make a glossy meringue.
Add the egg yolks and mix thoroughly.
4. Sift in flour and mix thoroughly.
5. Mix water, white vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
6. Mix the batter and ⑤.
7. Line a roll cake baking sheet with a cookie sheet, pour in the batter and flatten it out.
Bake in a preheated oven at 160℃ for 12 to 16 minutes, cover with paper and let cool.
8. Peel and remove the seeds from the orange.
9. Combine the cream, sugar, and vanilla extract, and whip in ice water until stiff and fluffy.
10. Peel off the paper from the roll cake dough and cut off the dough on the far side as seen from you at an angle. Make a shallow incision in the dough on the front side.
11. Spread whipped cream and roll up the front dough to make a core. Arrange the oranges on top, cover with the cream, and roll up the cake roll. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
