Made my own 50 years ago. its very handy for street use as well. Your handling is better when the pressures on each axle are balanced.

Bend up a hook for it from heavy wire or an old wire coat hangar (mechanics wire on the hoof) Moroso made something like this only a tad less fancy (maybe still do) - I had one 30 odd years ago, it was to get the slicks on a drag car equal, thus helping it go straight, or you could dial in an off set to compensate for track or suspension differences.

Nice unit, I did contact them and they gave me a price, but when I replied again whether it included postage or not and in what countries currency they didn't reply. They did say they were snowed under with emails due to this video. Anyway Ronny, with your uneven test with your vehicle on uneven ground once you have balanced the tyres out you will need to move to level ground to see if the pressures are the same. I would suggest the side that is under higher weight load will be lower slightly on level ground. Cheers Mate, and keep up the good work.

I would suggest 90deg hose fittings with hoses coming down from gauge, would alleviate the constant downward flex at the horizontal fitting, suspect this would be a durability issue with hoses cracking at that point

Do your "equalising" on uneven terrain then drive it onto flat ground. I think you'll find they will then be out by a few psi. But if you just want to get some air in to get yourself out of a sticky situation then yes it will get the job done.

Hi, A magnetic attachment for the gauge may be a better idea than a hook. Perhaps the two hoses could have 90 degree attachments to keep things a bit more compact and in line when packed up. Cheers

Hmm... no price on their website but reportedly (comments here) $150 + $50 shipping (USD?). Nice rubbery hoses - looks to be not so tangley. I think I would prefer the hoses both 'drop' down rather than pop out left and right - less stress packing and also, if used with a hook, will hang better.

Ronny, without looking through all 133 of the previous comments, I just want to point out a "problem" with your assertion that the pressures would be the same in both tyres even if they are on an uneven surface. What you DIDN'T show in your video, was what those two front tyres would have registered in pressure once you moved the vehicle onto level ground. Boyles Law is your friend here.....the tyre on the downhill side in your experiment (the passenger's side) would have showed a LOWER pressure once you moved onto level ground.

I would attach a big round magnet to the back of the head unit. Most cars and trucks are made of steel or have steel somewhere you can attach it to.

I've had bad experiences with those fast-attach valve nozzles (they can come loose). The only thing I can think would improve this product would be a screw on valve attachment as they're more reliable.

See you tube 'Trailrecon' in usa, they show you how to build your own set up. You can do 4 tyres at once .Have made my own and works using valve chucks .Take a look it works very well.

Great product Ronny , the only thing i see wrong with it is the connectors to the tyre valve , they will wear and fail and become loose over time , imagine them coming off all the time and having to hold them on , 2 people needed or long arms , screw on connectors would be better in the long run :-)

I made a 4 tire deflation /inflation setup and its one of the best overlanding items I made (fairly inexpensive). It takes a little longer, but as Ronny says it gets to your target psi on all 4 tires, (or 2) at once. While others are checking tire psi I can sit back and relax.

Re HOOK: Reckon a coat hanger would do the trick. Bend to hang off bullbar. Would even fit in the bag.

It will NOT correctly equalise the pressures when a vehicle is on an incline. Once the vehicle is on level ground, The tyre that had less weight on it will now have more pressure and the tyre that had more weight on it will now have less pressure.

How have you found the clips that connect to Tyre valves? Are the durable? I ask because I’ve found other clips that lock it on the valve tend to wear out very quickly and start falling off, even good brands like ARB still have that issue in my experience... I’ve tried a few different products including rapid Tyre deflators... and I’ve just resort to sticking the car key in the valve 🤷‍♂️

You could also grab a little stone off the ground with a pointy end. Deflates tyres fast. Package it and sell it for $40.

Im pretty sure that you are wrong about the pressures being equalised when the weight is unbalanced due to the car not being level as the pressure increases with more weight, therefore if you measure the pressures again after stopping on level ground there would be a differential due to the weight transfer being balanced properly. I.e. always try to use it on level ground

Mario De Jesus I believe that you are thinking of the total air volume in the tire rather than the pressure. The pressure would be equal on disconnect, but if the volume is different, the relative pressure will vary as temperature changes. PV=nRT

Ian McMahon leaving temperature out of the equation when you equalize the pressure in that way the wheel with more weight on would have less volume than the wheel with less weight on it but the pressure would be equal at those weights. Pressure is affected by a few things, temperature, and compression being the most important, When you then balance out the weight the volume on the side that was being compressed by the weight will increase because of the lower weight that would effectively decrease the pressure on that wheel. You might think that it is negligible but it really isn't, I have had 0.2bar difference on angles similar to what he had there, remember though you would have the same outcome if you drop the pressures in any way at an angle like that.

If you are inflating two tires, say to 30psi, does your compressor need to supply 60psi worth of pressure?

Nope... it's just like having a bigger tire. The 30psi is maintained across the entire system, including the air compressor

How much are they, and instead of a rubber hook just get a good magnet on it with loads of rubber on the back so it won’t scratch the paint, but it it’s a pretty cool

Best deflators are stauns, grab a beer, screw em on have a laugh with ya mates ,finish said beer and unscrew stauns and away you go. Looks like you are in the pines, Gnangara/wanneroo
