Yes, two parts to this: tyre deflator and tyre inflator. I have used two sets of cheap-arse brass tyre deflators, one set at 12psi and the other at 18psi. Just walk around, put them on, wait, take them off. Inflating has been with a single inflator, so one at a time, a bit of bending, some crouching, some kneeling, the usual drill. When you watch one of the Matrax videos on this product, their main lead points are not having to bend, crouch, kneel, etc to do all this tyre delfating and inflating. For you young fellas, it's no big deal. You can crouch down with a stick and deflate away. If you're on the other side of 50 with bad knees, a crook back, and a touch of arthritis, that's not so much fun. The price is acceptable, and what it does is even better (or, more correctly, what I don't have to do if I use this). I've actually had one in the shopping cart ready to pull the trigger on since last night when I saw your video come up. I did see Ronny Dahl use one just the other day which led me to investigate further, but you've only convinced me to buy it, such a good salesman you are. ;-)

I’ve no doubt that they’re good but just more crap to carry if you ask me. I’ll definitely stick to my ARB tyre deflator.

I had a brand new standard tyre deflator that removes the valve stem that was faulty from the start. Some problem with the internal thread meant that it blew off at times losing the valve stem in the process. We had spares but it could have been a real issue. A good brand that was replaced without question but it does sort of concern me when you are continually removing and replacing the valve stems. Seems that it leaves opportunities for various problems. The other thing I like about these things is that you aren't continually bending over or squatting down so maybe easier for the older 4wd'er or those with less than perfect backs. Also you will be deflating/inflating to same pressures each time. I like these things but I don't know if I will ever buy one as I just don't do enough driving where I would need to use it atm. Great product imo though and good quality products deserve to succeed in the current world where cheap and crappy seems to be taking over.

Agreed mate quality is second to none and as I was saying In another comment the age where you start to have back problems might just make it worth it for less bending over etc! Thanks for watching Mate

I love mine, being late 50s the not crouching is a huge benefit for me, my wife has bad knees and she loves it. Yep they cost but in the 4 months of owning mine I can't go back to the normal valve removal type. But all points you made were good ones mate. Cheers Steve

It's all about the JT Brooks Pro auto deflators or Campboss auto deflators, tiny carry case, can change the psi in seconds from 3-30psi and do all 4 tyres at once, for $100

@@4x4CampingandAdventures you should get a set, 30 -10 PSI settings and very accurate. tighten them (set of 4) on to the tyres , head to the fridge crack a beer have 2 sips and there done. No waiting and watching a a gauge.

I use the staun tyre deflators that fit in my centre console You can have all four on the tyres before you’ve untangled your hoses and rigged your twin setup and your deflating four tyres instead of two As far as inflation goes, most of us don’t have expensive ARB compressors that have a continuous duty cycle The cheaper units most of us have get hot after one tyre and need a “rest” Inflating two at once could cause over heating and there’s no real gain In inflation time Your better of spending the money where some real gains are to be made Ronnie Dahl has got a lot of “stuff “ he does not use anymore just look at his old videos

Been looking at one of these things for a while now. Think I'll stick to the old valve remover type for now. The price is a joke just for a name on it💁‍♂️it may take longer to drop the tyres but hey, more time to do a quick check over the suspension etc. May go a set of those staun deflators but still expansive for what they are aswell.

Ive got a bad knee crush injury full of metal and I cant kneel or crouch etc. I thought one of these would be a great idea to save me getting down so often. But the catch is, no matter how many it can in/deflate at once, I still need to get down just as often to connect and disconnect. So it's purely about time saved during the airing up and down process. For $200 more than what I've already spent is not worth it at all. If it was $150 I'd still think it was pricey. For $100 I think I'd still feel it was expensive but probably buy one. At $230 there's no way I'm buying one. I'm not short on cash here, but I cant see the value in throwing over $200 at a valve tool and some hose to save a couple of minutes in the bush here n there. A good compressor is a few hundred bucks and think of all the design and components in that compared to a hose and bit of brass.

Agreed mate they need to be cheaper but they don’t have any competition so I doubt the price will be coming down any time soon. Thanks for watching mate

Mate, pity you didn’t give an actual demonstration of a deflation and inflation!! The valve removal systems are difficult to use for a lot of people, lost valves, sand etc. Despite the cost, which, I agree is expensive, I think it’s a great system. Cheers

Mate you didnt really talk about the benifiets of the inflation side of things. I agree the quick deflators are good and you wont get much better. But you never really delved into the inflation side of things with it. Is it good being able to do two tyres at once, is it quicker, how long does it take to do all four tyres as opposed to a single tyre at a time. I think its a safe bet that nobody buys this unit for the deflation process. You need to do a video and test this vs a single compressor on a tyre ect.

When drifta were selling these it cost about 200 bucks or less. As soon as an australian company like maxtrax shoves their brand on it the price goes up, and for what... a silly logo on it?. No wonder australians dont buy aussie made stuff. Absolute disgrace by maxtrax.
