Every truck manufacturer should adopt the Slappy Trucks model of calling the truck 8", 7.5", etc to match up with the board size. Nothing else makes sense

I've always ridden independent trucks since the 90s at the age of 40+ I'm looking forward to shredding the Stage 4s. Don't forget to support your local skate shops fam that's important. 🤙🏽🌊

This makes me think the stage 4 was released to compete with Ace.

I'm still skating my Ace AF1's from when they initially dropped! The type of metal used on these trucks is significantly more durable than the Indy forged hollow's I was previously skating. I def wanna try a few new trucks that came out recently. These new Stage 4 Indy's, the Ace AF1 hollow's, and the new Slappy trucks!

From the front I thought they looked like Thunders. For that turn, it reminds me of Orion trucks from the late 90's. The turn was crazy! and I wish I still had them. Also riding Ventures for years, moving to Orions (that advertised, "turns on a pivot") it took me months to adjust and skate well with a truck that actually turns! Yeah, was 100% street skater back then! ahaha

I'm super hyped for these. I skated on the OG stage 4's when they came out in '86. I would absolutely love to have that old turning feel back.

I used to ride stage 4s back in the day. Sick they are back! I gotta say though, I’ll keep my mag lights and keep grinding the driest, nastiest stuff just to see the looks on my Indy riding homies faces 😂

Only trucks I ride is Indy. I love Indy’s response when turning and landing a trick.

Been riding the ace af1s since they first came out and haven’t went back to Indy’s since , I love the turning on the aces and the look, the longevity of these trucks are amazing and my first thoughts when I saw these new stage 4s was they are trying to compete with ace but with all honestly I would love to try out the turning on these Indy’s but id rather buy a new set of ace haha

My first truck was a stage 4. I still got one. I'd definitely like to cop but I just got 5.8s. I'd mostly like to compare to my og truck. One of these SSI checks tho. -state sponsored old man

It's really crazy to see how the stage 4 made a come back. When I was living in Brazil I got myself a set of stage 4 and stage 5 during the pandemic. If it's something he might want in the future let me know.

I skate 148 thunder hollow lights. I rode Indy’s, ace, Kurx, ventures, GK. You name it I’ve probably at least tried them. I love my thunders but I’m definitely gonna buy a pair of these and try them

I got a pair of Slappy's recently and not to throw shade at any other truck companies out there but these things are great. I've tried em all from GrindKings to Phantoms to everything in between, you name it. Good trucks are good trucks

I use Indy Reynolds Hollows for 8.25 board, I had another Indy’s but I chose the hollows now and is a big weight difference

I talked to a dude who was skating down the sidewalk on a Gordon and Smith slalom board in near mint condition. I asked him to look at it. It had a pair of Indys with the old clover leaf design on the axle hanger. He said he had just bought it at a garage sale. I suppressed my immediate urge to buy it off him because he would be better off taking up skateboarding. This was 2000 or so before EBay was much of a thing. Life has been plenty kind to me in other ways but damn.

Since first getting on a skateboard and learning to Tic Tac in '87 and later getting my 1st own new complete I have been a fan of Independent Trucks all these years and for good reason. They have never let me down and make a quality product that does what it's supposed to do and overall hold up decent depending what type of skating (concrete curbs!) you do. Recently got back into skating (at 42) and bought a pair of Stage 11 and also the Titanium's as well and like both. I'm a little curious about the new Slappy® trucks and maybe getting a pair to try out when I can to see what the hypes about and try something different. I remember the original Stage 4's from long ago now but couldn't remember exactly the cosmetic differences between them. I'll have to grab a pair of these when see em.

Rolling on Ace Classic 55’s, really want to try these stage 4’s in 166’s, that’s what I rode ‘87 - ‘91.

I’m excited to see those in action! Only ever seen them in old skate videos and magazine ads. One thing I wish Indy would bring back is the bushing shape used between stages 7 and 10. I either just haven’t broken them in enough but there’s something that just doesn’t feel right with the yellows being made today and the stock orange ones just feel way too soft.

Currently riding Venture 6.1 HI with their shorter bushing that makes the Ventures more squirrelly. These Indys look cool but they keep making me think of the Ace Classic trucks. hopefully my local gets these in so I can look at them.

Im a venture truck guy myself. But would use indys when i i dont have other options.

NGL im going to look forward to working some indy conical bushings onto these trucks. Some med hards, so i can run them with some "tight feel" with heaps of lean/turn initiate for when needed i bet these puppies will power slide on a dime after that. If these are around long enough i should get my hands on a 8.35" and the 8.65" options, i still havent even skated the Ace/AF1 options at those sizes. Just recently got some 144 mid pro hollows and those were my first 144s/mids/hollows ive ever skated. Took some getting used to from 159s. But now the board feels so much smaller/lighter and responsive. Still bigger axle/hangers are easier to control for airs/gaps and power slides and spin variations. Idk definitely going to have to try these out and see how they feel for some fs/bs airs and half cab blasts to see how they compare between 159 indys and 6.1 ventures which are both pretty fun. Though i couldnt get used to the cylinder/barrel bushing on the stage XI. As a IX/X rider.

I'm currently riding Thunders, lights and the standard Team model. I rode Indy's for a good while back in the early 2000s but also, I was riding GK, Kreepers, Krux, Tensors and anything else, I could get. I used to love skating Ventures but I kept breaking baseplates from doing big drops with them. Got Ventures, when I got back into it, like 5 years ago but they were too small...I gave them away. I'll pick a set of these up and give them a try. I'm not stuck with Thunders, I really can get used to anything tbh... I'll drop another comment, when I get them and let you know what I think of them.

Last Indy’s I had had the pivot cup hole drilled way off center. Never liked the standard Indy turning radius and weight. I like ace’s, and grinded a bunch of thunders down to the axle back in the day. Next pair will probably be slappy’s, but these look pretty good too.

I'm riding Royals and I love em. The kingpin was a bit high so I grinded it down and now they're butter.

Interesting trucks!! I ride venture 5.8 raw 90% of the time, im so used to the kind of pop and also the way they crooked or pinched. But i got also 149 forged hollow and 149 standard indy on 14.5 wheelbase i like it but i have harder time with my crooked. Thunder too low for me and the wheel on the nose slide bother me, i know that i just need to be better lol!!!

The first stage Indys I skated were the stage 8s

Currently riding the Slappys! Digging them for now. Would be interested to see a turning comparison with the Stage 4s and Aces. I usually ride Ace due to the amazing turning.

I'm riding thunder 148s with bones bushings but I'm totally copping a set of these! Haven't rode indy since like 2010ish.

Man, these seem made for me. My 12 year old Indy Stage 10s on my trick board feel like they don't turn at all compared to the Gullwing's on my Polar cruiser. These are right up my alley!

I’m on 159 forged titanium. The sizes seem to compliment the stage 11 range, turn seems rad and I love my 58mm spits. However, the weight ain’t great. Will stay tuned for a hollow/titanium version. Indy for life.

Personally, I think a magnesium Indy hanger would be more beneficial to skaters. But yeah these new Stage 4s are kinda "retro" cool. I got a pair of stage IV 215's in trade back in the early '90s, they looked cool but were too wide for anything current even back then. The back truck stuck out way too much.

I think they should start making 6 hole forged baseplates

They look beautiful, but too high for me. I just got Ace AF1 low trucks. They are working great for me. If these came in a low one day. I'd try them.

I used to sk8 the original ones back then a kid.. now 48. But then I now have collected 80s and 90s sk8boards and parts. But like you said the stage 4 og on ebay is massive expensive. So I can't get any of them. But I wish venture would reissue set there old trucks and also thunder.. but wish tracker reissue there aggro trucks.. but I got the og of all them except indy stage 4 .. I got thunder to cutter to San Diego to tracker to og krux trucks. You name it. It's just so many the original indys from the 70 threw early 90s are costly.. but I was glad I collected the different kinds of different companies of trucks and boards.. and wheels

Back when I was younger all I skated was indies. I got back into skating last year after not skating for like 13 years. I immediately got indies but after awhile decided I wanted to get other trucks to branch out and see what I'd like or not like. Still on the indies but have a set of Thunders and Ventures on a deck for when I'm ready to switch set ups. I kinda wanna snag these just to have them though lol.

How's the nose slides and boardslides the flatness in the baseplate on the inside combined with that really angled outer baseplate idk why but it looks like itll hang up super hard on a disaster or rock to fakie really easily and give really sharp noseslides it's probably me just being crazy and falling for thunders recently but idk

I rode the OG Indy 4s back in the day when I had way less fear and I didn’t like the change to stage 5s so over the years I’ve tried every brand of trucks, kinda into Ace, Krux & Venture these days.

I checked out the blog post but didn't find anything about the wheelbase. Is it shorter than that of the Stage 11s, similar to an Ace truck?

When is Venture going to release OG trucks? They looked completely different back then. Thunder were way different back then too. And shops should start carrying Tracker as well. Thunder and Venture don't even bother making 6 hole baseplates.

Looks alright. But I've settled with Stage 11s. I don't like trying different gear anymore. My area doesn't even have a skate shop anyway.

I've been riding the 215 stage 11s which look like 4s. Are they built different? The hanger looks the same, but it comes with the regular bushings.
