Historically trans people were revered in Hindu culture but unfortunately that respect has been lost in the modern society. We only seem to accept them as strangers but feel uneasy to be associated with them. Hopefully this changes in the coming years.

Yep I mean we literally have a transgender god and the transgender community had played arguably the most important role in ramayana. Hindu culture from the beginning of its existence had recognized the trans people as distinct gender same as male and female unlike the islam and christianity. But the 1000 years of colonialism has messed up our society and we need to fix that as soon as possible.

They are so nice and polite, their smiles are so genuine too! I used to be reserved on giving them money but coming to know that they have difficulty getting jobs, I don't hesitate giving them the small amount of change I carry, sometimes im too broke and i say i dont have any money on me, still they give big smiles and move on. Earning is non-sufficient respect will only be given if you are accepted their acceptance to any society does not only depend on their behavior and characteristics or ideology society had, has and will always Judge you by any form way always remember Society will be just fine without you but you won't be that fine without society different society call for different variety of mindset and energy and the most important by standards of European and North American societies is In my opinion is Intellectual and will.In this case Indian society has so many standard and limitation your are bound to live within them and not violate under any circumstances you are supposed to live in that provided space here is an interesting story-You guys have no clue about LGBTQ individuals being treated like trash I'm Sri Lanka is very serious about limits and social vows and religious views here under no circumstances a woman is allowed to have an Abortion and It is a horrible place to live in if you are any sort of LGBTQ person it is not always Violent approaches or aggressive reaction it is more in mentality that they are deemed as I'll and crazy and I largely agree. I mean we can't let this thing corrupt our society and infect it with all these ideas being injected into our young generation in general if you are any sort of LGBTQ person you are recognized as an abomination and monstrous it is an absolute joy for any conservative to be in and I love my country for preserving and protecting our young from all this reformist and unacceptable ideas. We shall forever Judge them as we are Judged as well. Love is not always the solution sometimes desperate times calls for desperate responses I'm conservative and forever be I'm not radical whether if I'm anti-LGBTQ I'm still trying to find an answer for that but one thing is certain I'm paranoid and scared for what may lay ahead possibilities are limitless but I'm trying my best to keep this country religious and to keep this region for as it is. Okay just tell me, why the hell should i pay the trans my money? You want work, go search for it, who are u to curse me if i dont want to give any of my money. I was with my girlfriend today, near pacific mall(subash nagar) that trans came to me and asked money, i had only 500s and no one can give that somebody to freely and my gf only had card and online payment, so we were not able to give anything to them and then when our auto was about to pass she said "tumhari jodi nahi banegi" meaning '"you will never be able to be together" and i was like... stunned. I became frustrated, who the hell is that trans to say that to me? I wanted to punch that sole trans so hard, and from now on i'll never support these kind of uneducated trans, if u are educated enough to live in the society fine, i dont have any problems, but if they are like this, i dont want them in our society to be accepted by people, i never hated them, but the incident today itself lit a fire of hatred for these illiterate trans. I will never give them my money anymore, my gf literally paid 300 to them in Connaught place because she said ki "inhe dena achi baat hoti hai, tum mat do i want to give them ", i just hate them now. LGBTQ is fine only if you educate among yourselves first.

I see my trans brothers/sisters and their allies across the sea in India. I am so proud of them all. But I also hurt for them because I, too, know what it is like. I wish I could help them all somehow. But first, I must take care of myself to be in a position to help someone else. God bless us all. God knows our path isn't an easy one by far. How many trans people are actually in India? Probably less than 0.0000001% of their entire population. They (India) have developed a lot more in recent decades, but still a lot of poverty, likely food security issues as well which would seem to be more of a priority, but no -- let's distract by focusing on 'minuscule' side issues. Probably even issues of 'gender equality' for ACTUAL REAL WOMEN would take precedence as they certainly, vastly outnumber the transgender. Also, people act as if it is their RIGHT for someone to employ them, which is complete nonsense. No one owes anyone a job and there are countless examples throughout history of skilled and educated people being overlooked purely because of, say, their skin colour. The only way you are guaranteed a 'job' is to create that job yourself! You don't have to like it, that is just the plain truth. It is a privilege to be fortunate enough to land a well paying 'job', not in any way a guarantee or right.

@Angel Wilks So then you can be the trendsetter and start by creating businesses to hire them en-masse in your organisation. Or better yet, you are always free start up or fund a charitable trust to hire them. There's nothing stopping you, yes? So then go right ahead... more action and less virtue-signalling.
