I am Sri Lankan. We like Tamil people. They should live. But Sri Lanka is the country of Sinhalese people and they are the great nation. The north and east were occupied by the Tamil people. We can actually make one from velankanni to the northern tip of SL. It is less in distance. SL can actually assist with land reclamation to encircle the north SL and we can finish the project fast. Velankanni is a famous Christian shrine..... tourism potential becomes max. Nagapattinam to trichy NH is a good one to be expanded further and from trichy, it gets connected to srinagar to kanyakumari NH.

The bridge between India and Sri Lanka is a big risk. The Tamil people in Sri Lanka are occupying the North East and have destroyed the Buddhist temples there.They claim rights to this country because they have been living there for years.But it is a threat.Tamilians should learn Sinhala language. It is the fault of the politicians of the country that they have put the Sinhalese nation in a position of confusion.We do not want Indian Tamil people to settle in Sri Lanka.

most of the international imports to india unloaded at colombo port and they continue to west, india go to colombo and load them to their ships and bring to india, and it takes more time and cost to bring those from colombo by ships, so india proposed the bridge to decrease the cost of imports to india , if they can import them via land road, its fast and less costly, thats the reason behind the bridge nothing else and sri lanka benifits from more taxes and tourism, other than these minor benifits to sri lanka, sri lanka import cost is also decline bcz almost 20 percent of sri lankan imports are coming from india

It's easier to connect India and srilanka as there are already a series of small islands between both countries. To be honest it will be foolish to build such a costly project if there are no returns. We should wait for the feasibility study results.
