Titagarh Wagons Limited is an Indian private shipbuilder, defense, railway wagon manufacturer headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal. The company manufactures coaches for the Indian Railways, bailey bridges, and mining equipment. A subsidiary, Titagarh Marines, operates in the shipbuilding industry.[9][10] Titagarh possesses a Defence Industrial licence allowing them to manufacture defence products such as mine clearing systems, military trailers, CBRNe equipment, armouring solutions as well as naval vessels and warships.

What icf took decades to achieve was achieved by titagarh wagons in few years . I never heard about titagarh wagons . However after watching this video I researched and found it to be amazing. Now I feel if VANDE BHARAT was designed by titagarh wagons they would have got much swankier and better designs(even though current vande bharat is great they would have been better)

Our Kolkata metro officers have nothing interest on Kolkata metro. They Can ordered metro from China but they can't ordered from Titagarh, which is our Sadasi company. By the way I am from Hooghly

Very proud to hear about the success of Titagarh Wagons. I stay very near to their factory site. Generally Bengal doesn't have much world class manufacturing companies but i hope in future it will change. I hope you can also make a video on Chittaranjan locomotive works.

Bengal will never be world class manufacturing industry because Bangholies have no business aptitude and are against industry and urbanisation...Any company and industry which invests in Benghol has and will always be at loss.Bangholies shouldn't even be employed given how rude and trecherous they are. I live in sodepur which is 10 minutes from titagarh (2 stops by local train). I use to watch their Rail wagon plant everyday while going to school, never knew they were making trains abroad too. Very Proud of them.

I am from Barrackpore ( just beside Titagarh) , proud that one of the companies in this area is doing good. Previously, Barrackpore Industries belt was one of the biggest Industrial belts in India, but everything faded away with time.

For UP it is 1100 dollar per annum .... West Bengal people has more doctor per 1000 people then gujrat... Wow! I never knew there were private wagon manufacturers like Titagarh wagons and I am amazed by their massive progress in the international world. In my opinion, Indian Railways should promote aatmanirbharta by giving more orders and should collaborate with them for making future coach designs

There are multiple plants of Titagarh in Kolkata. Good to see they are grabbing attentions. After COVID they were under crisis and even before COVID they sold one of their plant to Alstom. However historic government order has helped it to gain traction in orders.

Small Suggestion: Kolkata metro already runs train sets made by ICF since its very beginning, and modern Medha rakes are also made in India by ICF BHEL.

Not only Bengal but whole East india need development. Because in history eastern states having good contribution to Indian economy as per inflation. But currently eastern states lagaging behind in terms of development. Wrong policy, less trust on investors, internal politics, execution of wrong policy these are Main reasons.

On the other hand BJP having good and clear policy like Gatiskati master plan , attnirbher Bharat, PLI etc. Although Karnataka GDP is less than W.bengal But, 12000 lakh crore+ investment in Karnataka. Although W. Bengal GDP is more than Karnataka But, Just 3.5000 lakh crore investment in w.bangal This shows that less trust of investors in w.bangal. BJP lao growth badhao.

Titagarh is very close to my house. I live in Ichapur(aka Ishapore). Then comes Palta, Barrackpore and Titagarh. And these places are located in North 24 pgs, WB.

Located in Titagarh, near Barrackpore, West Bengal, India. Owned by J.P. Chowdhary. They had Titagarh Steel. Visited the company many times, however, it didn't seem that they manufacture products for foreign railways. Titagarh Wagons was one of the bankrupt companies once upon a time.

India's first private wagon company is The Indian Standard Wagons Limited established in 1939 at Kolkata & Asansol (Both in Bengal) by the great steel industrialist Sir Biren Mookerjee. In 1974 govt took it over & today its known as Burn standard company Limited. After govt take over it got sick as no funds were issued for modernization. Today the legendary company has lost its glory but never forgotten. 🇮🇳
