The most important thing is clean hands. It doesn't matter whether you wear gloves or not. I still need my hands to be able to put on gloves. If you don't wash your hands, gloves are no use. The way the food looks doesn't always say anything about how clean the food is, whether it is cooked with clean hands or with gloves that may have been used to mop the floor.

I am American and you would be surprised what we are told to what actually gies on. It's required to wash hands in all restaurants but in some cases gloves are discouraged.

That’s not true. Hands versus a spoon is not going to make your food look different. Also people wash their hands before making food. Your statement is just a matter of opinion not fact. I’d be willing to bet there are many Indian people that think their food is beautiful.
