You’re exactly right. This coach seems like she has completely hamstrung Caitlin. Honestly, this is the first WNBA game I have watched and I can see why it’s not very popular. Caitlin brings an energy and excitement to the game, but the coach has to let her go do her thing. I think the league will benefit more from Caitlin playing her game, even if they lose, than reeling her back and eliminating the excitement she brings. Just remember, without her, this league was nothing.

Clark takes it to the rim all the time and she also dishes the basketball. Her coach is terrible and her team mates need to be trained to work together and given the right plays to get her open then she can dish it off to them when they are open. Clark should be shooting 3’s the whole game. They were losers when Clark got there whts the worse that can happen they will still be losers? The best that can they might start winning. Get rid of that coach.

@@GrumpyCat-mw5xl Hardly anyone remembers a 2nd place team, on any level, and what i am saying is, when the game is on the line , there is no need to be jacking up 3,s at logo, trying to impress the crowd, in every big game, in the last 3- 4 min, she play,s horrible, shooting with 2 to 3 people on her, dribbling with 2 to 3 people on her, and people wonder why she have all those turnovers, i know she can shoot, but she just need to learn to play for the win instead of the crowd, a one man show, ore in this case, a one woman show never wins championships, how long did it take Wilt Chamberland to learn that.

@@sheilamclaughlin963 I think anytime you have an unproven commodity vying for your money, it’s best to make it prove itself first before opening your wallet. Especially when the WNBA has such a long track record. I just love basketball of any kind, so I want the WNBA to succeed. I also am not one to need the dunks or supposed athletic prowess to make me enjoy the sport. I want to see the game played well. The WNBA has seldom delivered that, and I have given it many chances. One of the rare times I did think it delivered was once in the early ’10s, in the Finals of one of Diana Taurasi’s championships. My friend and I actually watched all the games and enjoyed the series. That’s really been the only time. If the WNBA isn’t careful, it might take what was supposed to have been an all-time rookie class and squander the momentum it currently has. But that will have to depend upon the play of Clark and the other rookies. If they want to be like the NBA, they will have to deliver must-see performances like Magic and Bird did when they pulled the NBA out of its doldrums.

Welcome to the WNBA, Caitlin...where you won't be able to shoot uncontested 3s all game because real women will be up on you playing DEFENSE. The WNBA plays real 90s basketball with defense and a post game. Players in the WNBA play with their backs to the basket and use footwork and post moves to score in a designed offense. Clark, who likes to dribble the air out of the ball and then just chuck up a low percentage 3 will find it very difficult to score now. Clark is boring player who has ridden her media created hype for long enough and will finally get exposed for being overrated. Oh, and for those just tuning in, the Great White Hype just lost by 21 points. I can't wait to read the narrative tomorrow: "Caitlin Clark becomes the first player to lose her debut by 21 points, but the league isn't going to count her first game because so many people came to watch her play." LOL

You're saying that the Fever should waste 6' 4" and 6' 5" players to run plays for Caitlin Clark? How about Clark start moving without the ball, so she doesn't need 3 screens set just to get open for one low percentage shot? Clark is 6 feet; the offense should not be running through her. She should be FACILITATING the offense as the guard, but she still thinks that she's performing in the Caitlin Clark Show back in Iowa. Well, she's learning very quickly that she's not, huh? But go on and keep making excuses for her. Sides is a Hall of Fame coach; Caitlin is in her SECOND game, but you want to blame the coach and the team LOL. Typical Clark fanboy. This is just not watchable. Such terrible basketball. The reason woman's college hoops is better is because the defense is trash so there is more scoring. The defense is alot better in the wnba so the offensive flaws shine through and it's just terrible tv
