Hi - depends on the size of the aviary vs how many birds. Finches can be with many plants indoor but canaries tend to eat most. But, outdoor I have had luck with ivory (though some claim it to be poison for the birds - which I never experienced) as well as cherry laurel. Indoor a better soloution could be to bring fresh sticks with leafs in repeadingly. Put in some water so they keep fresh - and remember to block so the birds dont fall into the water. Also decorate with plants around the aviary of the reach for the birds - but still helping them feel more safe.
