What Ste said about the awards being canceled was spot on. They shouldn't have canceled, especially after the rest of the lot won plenty for us, Manchester United, this season. Yes, we all mostly watch the senior men's team but having the awards and having the u-18s, the women's team celebrate their achievements is the type of ego-killer that could've helped the men's team. And not just because of that really, the women's team and the u-18s team just deserve their due credit. Their achievements shouldn't be undercelebrated for the performance of the men's team. Where is the respect? That was a bad move. Having the awards would've been morale-boosting for everyone. Are you telling me Lisandro wouldn't be in that awards internally getting fired up? Watching the women and the youngsters kick ass and you were there injured? You don't think Bruno would've been fired up? The ones who would take that in the wrong way are the players we don't need in the club anyway. The awards should've been conducted.

On the women’s team - when we won the FA Cup and we all started to quickly realise that Newcastle and Chelsea went down a rung in Europe - I was like “we’re one of the few teams where the men’s and women’s team both won the FA Cup in the same year”. The club ignoring that, the women’s team win, the under 18s at the end of the year and it all going to the conversation about ETH just felt.. crap. Imagine 3 open top buses rolling up Deansgate on the Sunday with a load of trophies.. opportunity lost. That said - the players would likely have been charged for the buses.. Edit: if I was one of the players who are all on hundreds of thousands a week, I’d have just called the council, hired the police to close the route and driven down the road in my car with the FA Cup tied to my bonnet, followed by other players in their cars, and a Greggs van filled with sausage rolls being tossed out to fans.

Actually Ten Hag and Hake worked together at Twente, ETH worded as an academy coach from 2002 to 2006 then became assistant until 2009, Hake worked with Twente academy from 2005 to 2010

It was zanetti who told the adriano story, not zambrotta. Easy mistake to make i get the Z players mixed up too lol. Zanetti was in the hotel room with him when he got the call. He carried on scoring for a while, and Zanetti took him under his wing and tried to pull him out of the depression that season but says he ultimately couldn't, and it was his biggest failure of his career. There's a more recent interview of adriano with players tribune, talking about money vs happiness, and you still hear the struggle in his voice even though it's in Portuguese. Glad he's doing better though.

This is just my opinion based on experience as an architect that works on rehab(renovating old buildings) projects as well as new construction projects. Rehab projects are a pain in the ass, just so many issues to deal with especially with historical buildings. Unless the stadium is expanded as a part of the renovation process more than likely it will have a reduced capacity(taking into account they’ll have to bring the concourses, seat sizes, accessibility, etc. up to code). I don’t like the idea of knocking OT down but I feel like a new stadium would be the way to go.

The lack of resistance to a new stadium is baffling to me. Heritage can't be bought and isn't worth sacrificing for a new stadium that will be out of date in a decade anyway. There is absolutely no reason Old Trafford can't be updated. The roof leaked when we were winning The Treble. Character and history > legroom and better seats.

We're no longer even a team that challenges for top 4 If we come 7th next year on positive GD that will be impressive to be honest and surprise me - as the teams above us all have their acts together Everyone needs to reign in the delusion and realize how much ETH has set this club back In a few years time, hopefully we can genuinely challenge for top 4 once we have fixed the squad he has left us with We can't throw money at the problem anymore due to FFP, and INEOS are tight with cash in any case To give just one example - there's no way you come top 4 with a clown in goal, but we can't afford to replace him

I don't see how winning a cup offsets 50 games of utterly insane tactics and unwatchable football, finishing 8th on negative GD By all metrics we were actually lucky to finish 8th, plus we were totally humiliated in Europe The guy has set an already damaged club back by years and cost it hundreds of millions of quid in signings and lost CL revenue

People can justify anything, I suggest no one on the panel works, and if they do, none of them works in any senior position within the organisation, because there is no such thing as all voluntary redundancy, they are ok with people losing their jobs, then when they said 100 million a year from stadium. I just had to turn off, Barca get 70 and that also includes shirt sponsorship.
