Slight correction, Twilight Princess HD is still in 30fps

Honestly skyward sword HD didn’t need a change in the visuals it already has IMO the best art style of any Zelda and remaking it probably would have ruined that

Wind Waker HD: 11 years after original WW Twilight Princess HD: 10 years after original TP Skyward Sword HD: 10 years after original SS I’m calling it now. We’re gonna get Breath of the Wild remastered in 2027 or 2028

I feel like with the skyward sword remake, the original game's art style was so unique that it would have probably been difficult to improve upon it while still making the game still have that same art style.

Infinite bits didn’t talk about the camera changes in skyward sword, and the shorter opening which are imo the biggest changes Also skyward sword hd when taking inflation into account is basically the same price as the original But the video was still really fun to watch

Honestly so far I love skyward sword hd. The graphics looks amazing in hd and the 360 degree camera controls are awesome in this. I would probably put it at number 4 over ocarina of time. And imo the textures didnt really need upgraded cause just like wind waker I feel like that was the art style. The more playful and water paint like design. Absolutely love it. Already 6 hours in lol

When you don't know the difference between a remake and a remaster

Skyward Sword HD has upscaled textures and some improved lighting, plus jaggies removed. Not super noticeable aside from the jaggies so I’m sure it doesn’t change your ranking and all, but I’d research a bit more before making statements next time at least lol Good video tho

This guy definitely has something against Skyward Sword 😅 He's complained about it nearly every chance he gets, and then gets a remake that 'fixes every issue he had with the game' and still doesnt even say that it is the definitive way to play the game 😂

Dude missed a ton of stuff for Skyward Sword

Small correction here, SSHD has new textures. Most textures were upscaled using AI, some textures, mainly for important characters like Link and Zelda were completely redone, and some specific textures like the outside back of the mining facility weren't even touched. Also the only actual remake on this list is Link's Awakening. All of the other ones are remasters since they're using everything from the originals such as the code. In the case of OoT and MM Grezzo also did completely new models and textures for everything, but those are still assets, while the base game underneath is still the same, hence why some of the same bugs are present in the game and why they play the same (with the exception of the actual changes)

The graphics made a noticable jump in the Skyward Sword Remake IMO. I also am biased because Skyward Sword HD is my favorite remake but I digress. Saying they didn't make any visual improvements is just false

Twilight princess HD was only 30 fps, so skyward sword is the first 60 FPS 3d zelda game. Also SS added free camera. Personally I think SS has more improvements than both WW and TP. In fact I prefer the graphics of the original WW to the HD version since it is too flashy. Also facial expressions are more expressive in the original.

I gotta push back a little bit on Skyward's graphics for one of the same reasons you praised Windwaker's. They didnt really need to update the textures because of the art style. The blurriness works for the impressionist style. Maybe they could have adjusted the lighting but Skyward was already really good looking on the Wii. One could argue all it needed was a resolution boost, and after seeing how it looks when emulated over the years, I'd agree with that.

I’m playing Skyward Sword HD (as in my 1st play through of SS) and I have had zero complaints so far with the visuals. Personally I think they look very nice and smooth and the warm, pastel colors compliment them very well. I think they’ve aged phenomenally for being a Wii game. Edit: plus, the 60fps increase is amazing

Actually they changed about 80% of the graphics Textures in Skyward Sword HD all of the dungeons textures have been smoothed out and things like flowers and Vines General vegetation textures also looks smoother and a lot sharper, so yes actually they actually did improve the graphics

Personally the Skyward Sword remake is my fav. Skyward Sword is in my top 3 Zelda games and having those massive improvements with controls, Fi and other quality of life really helped in removing those irritating points. I’m someone who doesn’t really care about graphics so didn’t really mind that there wasn’t a massive upscale, especially since similar to wind Waker, the art style doesn’t really need drastic upgrades

I’m gonna be honest, I really feel like Majora got the short end of the stick compared to Ocarina, especially when it comes to the boss fights and with how they changed the transformations' controls, seriously Deku Link sucks on water compared to the original, Goron Link controls like a truck in ball form, and Zora Link was just given more disrespect than the other two, Fierce Deity Link is still just as broken as he was on the N64, I do appreciate the more beneficial changes that were added like the Bomber's Notebook, the Ocarina being on the bottom screen and is always accessible, having the button commands for the songs available instead of having to memorize all of them, having your sword and shield being available at all times, and having spots on the bottom screen to equip items. I wish they decided to have the masks accessible at all times instead of having them take up a spot in your "inventory," I guess? Seriously, having the masks being available in their own little menu instead of having to equip them and assign them to one of the buttons would be way more useful and gives off the vibe that the masks are more important than they appear, but, that’s just my opinion.

Skyward Sword reaches 60fps on the Switch, Nintendo likely decided that the art style still looks so good and it can reach such a high framerate for their console that it wasn't worth sacrificing that for improved graphics for a game that still looks really good, especially compared to Twilight Princess which looks like it's covered in Vaseline. That aside, Skyward Sword has a plethora of updates to the camera, pacing and general QoL improvements. Also Remakes and Remasters are not the same thing and comparing HD Remasters to a full on Remake like Links Awakening is just unfair. Of course LA is going to be the best when put up against Remasters still working with the core game, there's only so much that can be done when Remastering a game, but Remaking it removes those restraints because it's for all intents and purposes, a new game.

You’ve neglected to mention Majora’s Mask and Skyward Sword got free moving cameras in their remakes

I really loved Skyward Sword's trailer and Im definitely gonna buy it but If I had a choice from this whole list I would still probably choose Skyward Sword HD

I personally like the skyward sword textures. They look like water-color, I think it looks nice.

I feel like comparing some of these is unfair given there's a significant difference between a remake and a remaster. Comparing SSHD's visuals to OOT3D is unbalanced when you consider that SSHD is a remaster, meaning the whole purpose is to upscale the visuals and just make textures smoother (aside from whatever gameplay adjustments get made), but OOT3D is a remake, meaning the game is made from scratch based on the design of the original. A remaster is just an upscaling of the original asset's visual resolution, and a remake is literally remaking the assets entirely from nothing to be made into something new and graphically better for whatever the current hardware is.

Personally I love the Majora’s Mask remake. It wasn’t perfect, but it was one of the first Zelda games I truly got lost in when I played it on the 3ds as a kid. After playing both the original and the remake, I can understand both sides of the argument, but I honestly think either way is a great way to play the game and people are too harsh on the remake. It’s my favorite Zelda game to this day.

Honestly, despite the “downgrades” as you call them, I found myself really enjoying Majora’s mask 3D, to the point it’s the version I go to now. I don’t know why or even what it is, but there’s something about the original that I can’t get into anymore. Not sure if it was always there or it simply didn’t age well for me, but it is what it is. And no, it’s not the story. The story is phenomenal. And Skyward Sword? Definitely an improvement, even if I already liked Fi and actually still play with motion controls.

As someone who does not on a Nintendo 64, or has a switch online premium subscription, the only way for me to play ocarina of time in majora’s mask is through the 3DS remaster

Digital foundry did say in their video that quite a few of skyward swords textures were remade or upscaled so some are actually improved.

I wouldnt rank LA on 1 because it has left opportunities and the "dungeon puzzle" creator minigame is required for 100% (heart piece, etc) and they removed the fun photographs and the mouse characters for that.

I'm shocked Skyward Sword was so low. I would have put it at number 1 because it turned the worst 3D Zelda game into an S Tier Game. The graphics didn't really need improvement tbh. I didn't notice any big improvements in the Twiligiht Princess remake

Skyword sword has an improvment on the grafic , ist small but there is some. More Polygons for the 3d models to let the models look more round and the background is different , it‘s not in the paint style anymore

I feel like I’m the only one who just loves majoras mask 3D… Only new thing I can’t stand is the swimming as a Zora, the rest of it was so much fun to me.

Twilight Princess HD and Windwaker HD were NOT in 60 FPS, the first game that did that was Skyward Sword HD, Twilight Princess and Windwaker's remasters were still running in 30 FPS

Honestly....Skyward Sword had some more changes then that and arguably had more qol improvements over WW since for WW I can mainly just think of the triforce quest being improved and the swift sail but in SSHD they streamlined the opening, made Fi shut up more, being able to actually skip cutscenes, etc. It doesn't have any texture changes though which sucks but it does look like a remaster.

They should have called it Link's Reawakening lol. I would give that game an 8 out of 10 and I think it's a very good remake. Loved the color dungeon as well as the one with all the switches (with the epic music haha). They should have done remakes for Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. I'd definitely get both.

Majoras Mask 3D is the one i have played of that game, and it’s a masterpiece. In my opinion it’s the best video game Ever. It’s not my most favourite Zelda (As For my opinion, Twilight Princess is my favourite) but I respect MM. Everything that game is, something incredible. My point is, regardless of which version of MM it is, I found it to be one of the greatest games ever made. For that reason, it would be first for me, or 2nd after Ocarina Of Time. Links Awakening was amazing as well, but yet again I haven’t played the original that much but that was another game I loved.

Glad I'm not the only one who preferred the original Majora's Mask, aside from the visuals. But seriously, did anyone else enjoy the Triforce shards quest in Windwaker? I've only ever heard people gripe about it, but that was always one of my favorite parts, other than the earth temple.

Mm remake gets so much shit when it fixed all of the issues that plagued mm and was the reason people didn't like it The only thing they messed up was deku links lack of acceleration and zora swimming that was it Everything else was 5x better, including the saving system in my opinion its the best of the remakes

Also you can do something very cool with these remakes. The 3ds remakes you can use in Citra Emulator and increase the resolution even further making it beautiful. Twilight princess HD i think has a 60fps mod on CEMU emulator and probably 4k just like breath of the wild. WindWaker HD i dont know too much about it in CEMU but im sure it can be upgraded even further.

I was not expecting the 2D Zelda game to be number 1. I did get it for my birthday last year. It’s so cute and charming. It was also my first 2D Zelda game. Which was very interesting after getting into Breath of the Wild. I love it.

The Link's Awakening remake was the very reason I bought the Switch. Plus, Link's Awakening is my favorite Zelda game.

The only game on this list that runs at 60fps is Skyward Sword HD, and that's probably why the game didn't have much visual improvement. The other ones all run at 30fps and Link's Awakening doesn't even run consistently at 30fps
