Listening to this song for the 100th time or so, still getting goosebumps and watery eyes. WHY?

Storytime? How’s this for a story. Nightwish saved me from suicide. Straight up cured me of depression in 24 hours. Happened upon Ghost Love Score around this time last year and it helped me see beauty in the world. Then Poet and the Pendulum let me express those negative emotions in a healthy outlet and cleansed me over the course of dozens of repeats and millions of tears. Then Greatest Show on Earth helped my shoulders shake off some weight and let me be thankful for my existence come what may. Much love. 💙❤️🇬🇧🇺🇸

They are simply and not so imaginably TOP NOTCH professionals. We thinks its hard and it is but for them they are ripping though things like its noting and having a great time BUT with so much practice and hard work. Its fun for them but also hard work. You explained exactly me to a tee when i first heard Nightwish with Tarja 20 years ago, I absolutely hate Opera and just couldn't get past it so I never got into this band because she sang Opera all the time. Then my buddy told me like 5 years ago that they had a new singer and to give them a chance, I did because I always thought the band themselves rocked and then I heard Floor and was hooked. This is my favourite tune from them but The Greatest Show on Earth is a close second. Cheers

The whole concert is like this. I know it's hard to believe but it just is. The production is awesome, the performance is awesome, the visuals are awesome, and the venue is one of the most important metal festivals in Europe so pretty awesome too. It's the perfect show. Ghost River or Song of Myself next should be a good follow up

For a fun change of pace,you should watch Floor's performances on a Dutch show called Beste Zangers.they truly show her vocal range and overwhelming ability to adapt to any style.its a show where the top Dutch artists sing to each other,each other's songs or songs that are important to them,etc...it's well worth the watch.

well if you wanna see another side of them go for "Yours is an empty hope" and if you wanna see good synergy between the bass player Marko (who is an amazing vocalist himself too and used to be vocalist of band Tarot) and Floor, try "Seven Days tothe Wolves" "The Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" or "Ghost River"

You better get used to be blown away by Nightwish - it is their signature. When Floor joined Nightwish back in 2012, first as a step in, and later in 2013, where she and Troy became permanent members - Nightwish started on an evolution, that are still going. Floor and Troy removed every possible limit any composer like Tuomas could think of. And this becomes obvious on the newer albums, but also on the Decades from 2018, with a lot of the old songs has been "Flooralized" - she simply makes the songs her own. Besides Floor, Nightwish have 2 other brilliant singers, Marco the bassist and Troy, Uillean pipe, flute, bouzouki and others. So, I think you should react to Ever Dream, from Wacken concert, to bring Marco in vocally ad well - and then Ghost River (be aware of a little growl there, which we will get back to!!😂) - you ain't seen nothing yet. You should consider doing the whole Wacken 2013 concert from start to finish - it's legendary. I know you believe you have seen and heard what Nightwish can do - but I assure you - you have just looked at little under the surface - just wait 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😁

For me, wacken 2013 is the best live of Nightwish with Floor. only one song is missing: poet and the pendulum. Another symphonic band: EPICA. try "sancta terra" from 10y retrospect live. it's a duet with Floor as guest. Magical in this version !

This is my favorite, right after Ghost Love Score. The positive vibe in this song is just so contagious and yes, that chorus is amazing. Nightwish are known for that. The keyboardist, Tuomas, is the one responsible for all of that. Het writes and orchestrates just about everything.

You probably already know this but the entire hour and a half long Nightwish set from Wacken 2013 is on KZfaq in HD and it is epic. I recommend treating yourself (and us) by reacting to the entire set list from Wacken 2013. You marvel at her endurance (as well you should) but on the last song of the set after singing with this level of intensity for an hour and a half she still brings it. Brilliant! It sounds as though you already have a listening order in mind which will no doubt include the Tempere version of Greatest Show on Earth and the Wembley version of Poet and the Pendulum. Nightwish is such an incredible live band I always find their studio videos rather bland (although they are VERY good - just not as good as the live performances).

The I saw that you were already warned about rushing into The Poet And The Pendulum, which is good advice, but you should not fear to react to it, or take any pressure. I'm sure it will ruin your experience if you do so. But there are so many great songs with this band, and there is no rush anywhere. This Wacken concert is what majority considers the best, and then there are older great concerts like "From Wishes To Eternity" (2000) and "End Of An Era" (2005), and newer like Tampere (2015), Wembley (2015), and Buenos Aires (2018). According to vocal coach reactors, Floor, as being trained classical singer, breathes and uses her vocal cords correctly without any induced strain from neck muscles and so on. That is why her voice can carry over 15 songs.

I heard an interview that Tuomas did with his wife and Troy, from when they were doing PR for Auri, that they do big movie score type pieces. Which is true. Think about it, most of Nightwish's stuff is EPIC and worthy of the biggest adventure epics on screen. And Floor just goes all in, like an extreme sport athlete. Hard core free style marathon. Up hill all the way. Being in Nightwish ain't for sissies.

Great reaction. I've loved this band with all 3 lead singers for nearly 16 years. I would suggest checking out all the Wacken set list before you continue on to their later concerts. Just wait until you get to the Wembley 2015 concert or Tampere 2015. They do the usual list of songs, plus Ghost Love Score (nearly 11 min.), Poet and the Pendulum (approx 14 min.) and Greatest Show on Earth (over 22 min). And...they do it all incredibly well. Then there is the Buenos Aries 2018 show with a lot of their old songs redone. Next there is their latest release Human :||: Nature, a 2 CD set that is astonishing in so many ways. So strap in for the ride. Hope you will enjoy it.

Floor is a metal goddess!!! Maybe you could listen to NW in the beginning. With Tarja who was also a founding member. She had the sound to make the band at the start. She's more operatic than Floor but this is a new generation :-) might I suggest Gethsemane or Elvenpath. Many others too. Just sending something new to you from NW :-)

Floor is a force of nature.

Next two Nightwish songs should be 'Ever Dream' and 'Song of Myself', both from Wacken 2013. Also any song from Wacken 2013 would not be Floor on the studio version. This was the tour where she stepped in to replace the departed Annette Olzen, so every song is originally sung by either Tarja (1st vocalist) or Annette (2nd vocalist) on the studio tracks. While there's some debate as to who was better for some Tarja songs, there is very little debate over Floor being better for just about every Annette song. This particular song is an Annette song, and while the studio version is good, Floor just hits it out of the park. That middle end part with Floor's operatic voice was just done by a choir in the studio version because it was out of Annette's range.

Give her band before Nightwish, Revamp try , Distain, Trial of Monsters, Millions live at Graspop 2010 especially if you like it heavier riffs. Quick observation about the crowd at Graspop a little lame but Floor does shine in her love of metal, she wrote a lot of the songs. This is a great Song, it's so good that it's one of a very small number of their where i prefer the Studio version.
