I know this vid is old but once you replace the clock spring sensor you must get it recalibrated to erase vdc, abs, and slip. As for the airbag light you must make sure your car is off and put your key in the ignition and onto the accessory mode where all the lights come one and wait until the airbag light turns on. As soon as you see it disappear from your dash turn the key to the off position. Do this about 4-5 times and then turn your car on. Wait 10-20 seconds to confirm that it has worked. You could also get the airbag light erase as well once you get it recalibrated. Go to a dealer or someone with a advance obd scanner and they can erase it.

You didn't make another video on why the VDC Off & Slip lights went on.... Would like to know what caused it becuz Im having that issue after my clock spring was changed. Thank you 🙏

The ring in the back is set to factory center, the front wheels must be straight forward for it to be centered. When you adjusted the factory center, the ring was moved from the position of your front wheels. They have to correlate with the position of the ring sensor or the VDC light will come on and stay on. Some vehicles wont let you move the car if this sensor is off centered.

16:40 ... I lost count on how many videos I've said that YOU DON"T HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (White plug that is barely shown on this video) in order to replace the Clockspring. That's the main reason for the VDC OFF, Slip and SRS light appearing after the replacement. Please refer to this video for more info. Ok my clockspring didn’t come with any marking point to show where it’s supposed to be positioned. I’m confused as to how to get it to set in the correct position so the vdc and slip lights won’t come on. Please help?

hey can someone help me... i ended up taking out the clockspring but the position of it that i was suppose to mimic on the other one got messed up nd spun a couple times and i don't know what position it was on and i tried different ones and nothing same issue. is there any way i can reposition it to the same position i had before so everything can start to work again? HELP ASAP

So i just had this problem just today when the shop changed the Clockspring on my 2007 aRMADA due to the flashing airbag indicator light. I bought the Clockspring in Ebay aftermarket i believe.....not OEM. So what its doing now after it was installed is when i drove away from the shop it started having the VDC problem like a pulsating/grinding effect. Brought it back to the shop and they inspected. They found out that the Steering Angle Sensor was not functioning..........the scanner showed it zero degrees on straight and when turning the steering wheel left and right it still stays at zero degrees. Do you think the Clockspring is bad or not compatible with the OEM Steering Angle Sensor thats why its not reading it? Or the Clockspring connected to the Steering Angle Sensor need to be calibrated or do a relearn?? Does it need alignment and they need to reset the Steering Angle Sensor?? Please help.

Thanks for the video. Replaced mine today. As with yours, I know have the airbag, slip, and VDC lights on. I've tried the reset at the end of your video, but didn't work. Did you get your's fixed???

I have a 2003 infiniti g35 sedan. I was told to call the dealer give them my vin number so I can get the correct part number is that right? Or how did you get the correct part?

Unplug battery for 10 minutes and try it out after. Check fluids as well. Maybe will fix the vdc lights

My VDC light is on it doesn’t affect my driving. I took it to a parts house and they clear the code but it came back. I seen you write something about having to recalibrate the angle sensor or something. Can you give me more info on this please

The torque spec for this steering wheel lug nut should be 25 ft-lb or 34 NM, not 82! :o

I know this video is 2 years old but the way you centered the clockspring was incorrect. The little white piece has to be at the top to fit back in the steering wheel. That could be why the lights were on.

Did you purchase the clockspring from infiniti??

Well guess u have to program the clock spring with certain software from Infiniti. Just found out. VDC and slip lights came on after replacing the clock spring.

buddy I centered mine but how tf am I supposed to put the wheel back straight. you skipped that part. went thru all that trouble to get screwed. are you trolling!!!!????!!!??!!

You should not turn that clock spring like that, that's not how you install it. You made that so complicated.

So now you are back to the factory setting on the clock spring when you turned back 1/8 of a turn! So all that video where you tried to recenter the spring was useless and a waist of our time!
