Why not get a new Tesla model 3, with all the saving it goes down to $23k... Plus older Tesla charge super slow. My coworker bought a used 2015 model-S he said his takes 45min on a free super charge.

I am in a similar dilemma. This offer is $14.5k for a 2015 S 85D with 110k miles. It is out of warranty and NO free supercharger. I believe that I have at least 30% of the chance to get a battery failure in the next couple of years which costs $15,000 to $20,000. that's around $5000 mathematic expectation. For the supercharge, if someone always do supercharge for the next 100k miles, 5 cents per mile is $5000. but most people may choose to charge at home or company for convenience, so the value of lifetime supercharge is less. Say $2500. Adding them together is my "real cost", around 22k. Should I gamble on it?

Does the free supercharger really transfer to new owner, I don't think so

By definition it should. Unless the previous owner transferred their FUSC to their new Tesla, a deal that's been going on for some time for new Model X, Y, or S purchases.

For around $20k you could probably find one with a lot lower miles.

"Oh it's just now broken in good, they are good to go 500k or more" "oh the displays look like fish aquariums? there all like that" "the gauge cluster looks melted? It's just a little faded from sitting in the sun" I didn't stick around long, that car has got some major repairs coming up, the front fenders didn't even line up with the bumper.

That’s my situation too. 2015 Model S 85D. Waiting for Tesla to give me cost of HV battery replacement. So far they have told me that it is very expensive to prepare me for a high number. I have less than 50K miles.

@@MrChristocentric Tesla service diagnostics said that our car has what the call ‘internal isolation’ that requires replacement of HV battery. We were billed $16,000 and included replacing 12v battery with remanufactured lead acid battery. The HV battery was remanufactured also. We had no alternative but to pay. The unrealistic alternative was offered to us by Tesla was to abandon our car for which we paid almost $100,000!!!
