I found a forum where they swapped out the 8” for the 10” infotainment system. Any ideas if this is possible? I’d buy that.

I wonder and can’t find an answer anywhere …. Can I upgrade my 2018 sierra infotainment 2 software to the 3+ via a factory software flash? To get access to wireless CarPlay etc?

In the video they take off some panels on the driver side but I never see them run any connectors to that point. Is the details for that include somewhere that I missed? Or do I just need to figure out what cables go from radio to drivers side?

I wonder if this would fix my stereo in my 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500. For reference: When I am driving, the radio screen starts to flicker and then it makes a beeping noise. It will change screens and just becoming absolutely annoying. At this point the touch screen wont work and I have to shut it off. It has gotten to the point where I now only use a BT speaker and run audio through my phone. I have researched this issue and no else seems to have the smae problem. Any help would be appreciative.

That sounds alot like an HMI that has gone bad. Can you send me the Vin? That will allow me to quote out a repalcement HMI module.

I had a similar issue where my entire infotainment system and gauge screen shit off and wouldnt turn back on for weeks, the gauges themselves still worked though so I wasnt completely unable to drive the truck until I had the cash to fix it, but it was annoying as hell. I did this radio upgrade and i love it in my 2022 Custom Trail Boss

@@matthewallen978 I actually talked to the guy in the video and he assured me that the part would fix my issue. I just dont feel like forking out the $750 to buy the part. I currently use a BT speak and my phone.

Why does the screen have to be replaced? I have an IOR with 8 inch screen already.

It doesn't. If you have an 8-inch screen already, you only have to transfer it to the new bezel.

Did you fix it? My 2019 does the exact same thing. It's so bad that I only use a BT speaker connected to my phone. I leave the radio off at all times. I was told that it's my HMI. I dont know what HMI stands for, but that's what the infotainment company told me.

The HMI stands for Human Machine Interface it is the brain and the in-between module between you and the radio. It powers the screen and most of the programming in the radio portion of the vehicle goes through that module. Here is our listing for that part. Yours is a 19 so it would be IOS IOR IOU generation. I’ve installed and connected all cables. My display is not showing and I only hear static. I do have the jumper cable in package still, how/where do I run that?

I’ve connected 1/20 to the jumper cable, still not powering on display. My steering wheel controls do adjust the radio. But my radio power/tuning knobs and buttons do not work. A/c, switches etc work, just nothing associated with radio.

@@toddnichols6208 I’m waiting on another set of 2 video harness. They seem to have received bad video cables from their supplier. I’m able to change the radio (blindly) from my steering wheel controls. I should receive the cables this weekend and will update.

I just installed mine and it displays "Theft Locked" across the screen. Can't even use the radio at all.

@@tgee8216 I already had the full size screen. I had the IOR radio system. Then they'll provide you with the correct screen replacement.

If the price is a bit too high to do the full kit you may want to consider going with an aftermarket part as opposed to OEM. OEM equipment tends to put quality over price.

Absolutely bad customer service I called the company try to reach out the technical question they transfer me and takes forever nobody answer and I called the next day same thing I try to check online which one is going to fit for my need I can’t find it it’s complicated and the website keep loading and something wrong with the website 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

This is a factory OEM upgrade tuned to factory OEM specification. That being said, this is meant to bring the vehicle from the IOR to IOU option code. IOR to IOU is a complete hardware upgrade.
