The beauty of Photoshop and Lightroom lies in the fact that anyone can use them in anyway that works for them. For myself, I do minimal work in both, and my images and print always come as I would like them. Yes, as you said, you can stack loads of layers up, and manipulate each one etc, but for me, and I would hazard a guess 90% of most users outside of design environment, simple adjustments are all that are needed. Nice video. Best wishes, David in the UK.

Thanks a lot! Had a Pentax K-70 converted, and it is so much fun. Can not wait till the leaves come out again. Certainly worth following the tip to expose to the right when taking the pictures to avoid getting noise in the shadows later.

As usual Martin great video, very informative, as you know I have just started down this path, still learning the camera and how to edit IR in LR. As always though what one person likes is not always for everyone. Look forward to some more. also some stunning images in this video.

Thank you, Martin! I never considered setting a custom white balance for my IR images until I saw your video; until today, I was always setting the WB in post. This morning, I captured a few images with my camera (won't go into details, but quite a different "camera" from what you're using) --one with no custom WB (reddish image) and one doing a custom WB. For the no WB image, I tried several different techniques to neutralize the color cast in PS, but none matched the quality of the custom WB image. Like you, my final results are B&W images, but going forward I will include a gray card in my kit. Over 50 years of photography and I'm still learning new things!

Another good video, thank you. I have used an infra red filter on a standard camera and found it frustrating. I have recently purchased a used EP2 already converted to IR and I am loving it. I prefer the photos where the IR is subtle especially with buildings as a large part of the composition as a lot of your photos show. Good onya from Western Australia. 👍
