We're focusing on a major revamp of the natural surroundings of the map, changing the textures, and the mountains, adding lakes and hills! We also increase the density of several inner-city neighborhoods in Riverview and East Riverview, ultimately bringing the population above the 70000 mark! Hope you enjoy!

Yup. I've seen this, and this is him utilizing the capabilities of the game at the moment and maximizing the utilization of assets and available mods and also the Dev Mode.

Not sure how many people know about this, but to get the zoning grids to align nicely, you just need to have ’snap to zoning cell length’ on, and turn off ’snap to existing geometry’ when connecting into another road. The junction should be completely fine despite going a few meters over the connection point to ensure that the road matches the cell length. I really hope you see this because it genuinely works😂

Exactly this, I hear people complaining about the zoning a lot, but the zoning is fine. It is just that they don't know how to use it. There is a reason for all these different toggle options being in the game, use them to get the exact type of zoning grid you want.

Ohhh well this was pleasantly surprising to see. First time I’ve seen another creator use my cliff technique which was really great to see, and I love the improvements you made with the tree brush, I’ll need to try that too. At 40.39 you placed down a building, I think it would be to have a bus line there, because of the high density, people may nlt have space for a car, and it's also nice to let the residents live happy and good quality life without a car. And it of course requires public transport!

A small tourist trap town in the mountains would be really cool. Kinda like Old Forge in the Adirondacks. Lots of water parks and other stuff but also scenic hiking destinations with a fire tower at the top.

This looks phenomenal! I'd love to see them add the ability to create small dirt trails for projects like this. Give the denizens of our cities another form of recreation (ie: being able to zoom in and see hikers on the mountain, etc).

Dude an attempt at a ski resort would be HELLA cool. Not sure what could be done for chairlifts but I'm sure you could nail the general idea until we get gondolas or chairlift assets.

Think ive told everyone now of my hate for the zoning grids breaking in this game. But in my struggle, i have improved it a little with something ive spotted that helps, in some situations, ie lengthening a road when it just wants to break. When you click on the end of the existing road and then draw away in a straight line, you will see the blue road connection outline extend a bit then the further you move away it disappears, well if you extend a road in sections when you have that blue outline, bit by bit, it can help to get past the tricky spot. also i find turning off all snaps you dont need for that connection, ie if you can, snap to what ever you need only to connect to the road you want to draw from, then turn off all except say 90 degree, then connect the other end, That helps a lot too. Hope that helps...... Love your cliffs man Great job!!!!!!

Wow, can't imagine how much time it took to not only film but edit this video. As always, awesome video. Cities 2 can look BEAUTIFUL man. Can't imagine where this is gonna go when asset creation and official support for mods comes out. It will take a long time to get to that point, but the future of this game is really epic.

So, i just wanted to add my opinion here. If you have some free time, do some research on "the ozarks" in missouri. I live in the springfield area and the mountains are beautiful and the highways contour the landscape as well as cut through smaller mountains. And by that i dont mean tunnels, theres cliff sides next to the highways everywhere around here because they blasted straight through when building the highways. Its really neat to see all the different colored layers when driving by

I'm not a big fan of the modded textures and surfaces so far, because they are often very tiled and the repetition of the texture is very noticeable. Your mountains look kinda stripey rn 😅 If I ignore that the textures definitely look nice but yeah, especially up close or from further down to the ground.

Hi Adam - good point, I noticed that as well. I've found that it can be alleviated slightly by making the mountain sides more rugged and random, as the mountains on this map in particular looks like they are created with a simple brush with too little randomness sprinkled in :D

So the entire northeast of the US was covered by a glacier in the last glacial maximum period about 20,000 years ago. So you could say those lakes you created are old glacial lakes that were carved out.

I have to say i looove the tree lines and the lakes and all ! I'm not that hyped by the "pile technique" though. The city is great, but i have an issue with the correlation between the size of this city (In width as well as in height) and the population. Il live for a while in a city of about 50k inhabitant, and ... it was not as big is Riverview. Especially when looking at the skyscrapers, etc. The game is weird about that no ? Also you maybe should look more at the Signature Buildings, especially now that you have Dev mode ! It could be possible to start plopping some very fancy stuff innit ?

I know everyones shitting on this game right now but the vanilla look of this game makes trying to play vanilla cs1 almost unbearable. The graphics are so much better it's unreal.
