Today, I'm talking about my first few experiences on racing wheels and their capabilities in the city. Up until I started skating on the Hydrogen Pro(s), I had never rolled on anything better than Rollerblade Hydrogen wheels..now my wheel of choice has changed 🤣. I live in West Palm Beach and I'm on the look out for friendly skating areas. I've not heard or been to Hugh Taylor Birch Park. Thank you so much for mentioning it. It's my next destination.

'I wanna give cyclist a hard time' 😂 I feel that. Those are definitely pricey! I'm stepping up from 255/84mm to 291/110mm this weekend. I started long distance skating a 9 mile Campion Trail here in Dallas, TX this year. Super curious how much time I will cut and the effort difference between the 2 setups. Good watch here. 👍

Doubleff duo wheels is one i'll be checking out soon, 130 for a set of 6 feels ok for a set of commuter wheels for me. I'm pretty sure doubleFF has no visibility in the USA but their stuff is top notch frame wise, curious about the wheels. Racing wheels i'm a big fan of piper & mpc. Tho the piper carbon air is ridiculous price wise at 450$, Tho i'm sure neil designed those to rival the red magic in terms perfomance to set a new marathon record.

@shredfreak83 never heard of piper wheels until your mentioning of them. I'll have to try them sometime, They are sold out 🫨

I have several sets of the TKO wheels. They are significantly harder which leads me to believe the inner band is either harder or smaller or both. They are not equivalent to either MPC, JUNK, or Atom Boom Magic. They are closer to dual nanded wheels by Matter, Piper or Powerslide( all the same company essentially).

I skate almost solely on MPC or Junk wheels.

Thanks for sharing, those eventually will be my urban skating wheels...mostly because of price 😀
