This was a great testimonial. Nobody wants to talk or admit the bad that they've done in life. It's OK to be happy. It's OK to say yes I messed up but that's behind me. Learn from the past, help others, that's the win win. Now go be great. LIFE IS FAR FROM OVER. SALUTE

Honestly I get what your saying but that's not what his intention was with it. There's a lot of videos on addiction, crime and punishment, etc. People are getting desensitized, he just chose a title that would get you to stay on the video a moment, a Segway to result in you giving her a chance and hearing her story. I think he chose the best title possible.

From someone that came from fentanyl addiction via iv, stealing, robbing, selling every drug under the sun, including my own personal perc script, morphine script and hydro script. ended up doing months in jail and was on intervention, ended up getting clean dont even smoke cigarettes anymore and now do robotics for a living, any episode ian does is unreal. The way he asks everything we want to know just excels this podcast and reminds me to keep striving forward. Keep it up. You got a listener for life!

This is by far my favorite interview you’ve ever done. She made it through one terrible situation after the next and came out of it as a strong and inspiring person. The fact that she still to this day feels so much pain and emotion for something that was an accidental wrong place at the wrong time situation is proof she is sorry and remorseful. Obviously, she’s not innocent, she was driving while severely under the influence, but I think that she has truly learned from her mistakes and is unmistakably repentant. I would LOVE for her to start making videos telling more stories for her own channel. She is a naturally talented and captivating storyteller and obviously very intelligent. I wish nothing but the best for Ginj in her future. Please don’t stop inspiring people to get their lives straight and learn from your mistakes ❤

It was relieving, even though I was very concerned that people would think I cared more about sharing my story than I did about the damage I caused to my victim. The last thing I ever want to do is to revictimize or discount the hardship I caused for the young woman that I hit. There is not a day that goes by where I do not wonder how her life was affected by my actions

Just never give up I am a drug addict and my mom was the only person that never gave up on me she might have kept away from me because she had to for her own mental health but she never gave up on me she always held out hope that I would get it together and when I was finally ready she was everything when I needed somebody to talk to in the middle of the night when I was thinking about drugs or anything like that she was the one that I called and she always listen she never judged me that unconditional love that only a mother can give is crucial I feel like as a drug addict if you feel like nobody cares about you or loves you what's the point in trying to find your way out of that hopelessness I really hope your son does twos to live one day all this pain will be so worth it

It made me cry to read your comment. I am an addict as well, and my mother is also one of the only people that never gave. Up on me. In my darkest hours, when I had the least faith and was prepared to die, she would just look at me and say: "I have faith you'll get to the other side. Probably more than you do. I know you can do it." And that sort of faith & belief was beyond invaluable to me. I just wish I had spent less years actively using and more of them spending time with my mom.

Her childhood sounds just like mine even with the 6 and 7 year gap between my brothers except I was the oldest. Had to grow up real quick and take responsibility to help raise my siblings with dad always at work and mom not really there. It’s nice to hear that other people have gone through similar things and can relate as much as I wish they didn’t have to but it’s kind of comforting/relieving. I had to deal with bubble gutz, sweats, no sleep, skin crawling, no energy, no appetite, i did it by tryn my hardest to be positive, ☕, 💩 medicine, music 🎶 the first 4 days was the worst. Didnt feel right and my stomach was not right for 3 months. Wouldn't wish that sickness on my worst enemy. The legally prescribed opiates was the worst withdraws i ever had.

There is so much more to Her Story than just having a "Relationship with a C.O." Her Interview really deserves a better title. She's a lot more than just someone who slept with a C.O.

He only made that title to be catchy to grab people into listen to the interview I'm pretty sure he does not think she's just somebody that slept with a CO she's any person is way more than just their story I for one am if he about this channel I like him but sometimes I don't but the title made me click on the video and let me hear This Woman's story she's incredible she's obviously way more than just somebody that slept with a CEO or somebody that's been to prison but KZfaq titles are there to make you click

Only a few mins in but omB, i wish i could give her a hug (and i am not a hugger). Thank you for sharing your story 💚 and big ups to Ian for almost walking her to it so that realization could be found (male voice change in a controlled way, like you spoke in, brings out vulnerability of your guest, it seems). Thats such an important part of healing..some times its okay to accept you did *not* have any power in that situation, it was on the adult with full formed brain. Surrender a bit to the loss of power and forgive yourself the guilt youre carrying for someone else's crime.

My wife is realizing the truth of a lot of your opening statement about family trees of trauma. Keep your head up. Edit: Ian is 100% right. That piece of dog shit was in a position of power and you were a vulnerable child and hey preyed on you and groomed you then took advantage of you. Never ever blame yourself for that situation. You were a child and it is and was never your fault. You are an amazing person with an amazing story that will help young girls (possibly boys too) who may be I. A similar situation to get out and hopefully never blame themselves for the misdeeds of adult men and women.

everyone "code switches" especially as teens and young adults shit even adults into old age do sometimes... HS teen boys will talk wayyyyy different around their family especially grandparents but will talk completely different amongst their "homies"... hey grandma! hey mom/dad adlskfafeofje! vs YO DAWGGGG wassup bro! its like the preppy rich or nerdy kids in HS they just talk a certain way and to be accepted in certain "cultures" hoods" you gotta dumb down that shit cuz then you sound like complete weirdo nerd who wont get any respect and laughed away before the chance to hangout and even become friends.

There is no question that Her leaving the scene of the accident gave her a lighter sentence. If she stayed, the police would see that she's under the influence. Definitely would have received over 5 years.
@tord0ff

Idk man if she stayed she very well may just have received a DWI and maybe assault. For a DWI the sentence is usually 3-7 days, second sentence maybe a month or two. Third DWI your going down atleast 7 years in Texas though. There's really no telling which way it could have gone.

It is absolutely heartbreaking to hear her say she wonders if the situation with her boss was her fault and the guilt she felt for bringing her friends into the situation. Ian is completely right though and not only were you taken advantage of and groomed because of the age difference but he was also your boss at work which is insanely inappropriate. Sounds like he used his seniority and your innocence to take advantage of you and that is disgusting. He deserves to rot

She was right in her taking accountability for not leaving the job Bc she could have Her taking accountability does Not excuse his behavior Her part like mine was saying yes to go with him To go with a man tht molested her in front of people Her age represents her being naive but does not excuse her from being alone with a man who had already groped her and threatened her This is coming from a woman who was molested at 13 the same way she was without the drugs I was stone cold sober When I agreed He was 23 I knew not to be alone with him I knew he wanted me like she knew he wanted her but her desire to be known as a grown woman and accepted amongst the adults in my life The majority of the responsibility falls on the grown up but she has a part to accept too
