For example, with my friends we always laugh at crazy leftists who do crazy lefty stuff, BUT, when we see some video of some crazy Christian preacher, or speaking in tongues or doing those kinds of things that evangelicals sometimes do, only my atheist or non christian friends laugh, while the same people that laugh of the crazy lefty, when they are christians they dont laugh a bit. As a trans person, Blair white is the perfect example of a pick me. She puts stereotypes and lies on a stage and convinces her viewers that, what they are viewing is what lies beyond “one of the good ones.” She plays into preconceived notions and will even lie to make herself seem better. Like other people in that space, she in the beginning might come across as “telling it like it is” or someone who is moderate but “critical” the farther you fall down into her content though, the less critical it becomes and the more fabricated it starts to show. Thing is with the people who truly believe in her, they will leaver her and turn on her the second she stops being a useful source to own the transes. She’s throwing people like herself under the bus, as a form of attention seeking and self preservation.

I wonder if it's too idealistic in this context. The alt-right is very extreme. I don't think that people fall into it, like they accidentally step in dog poop. And of course, it's not harmless like being a big Game of Thrones fan for several years. I think that these people have serious problems that preceded joining the alt-right, preceded starting down the path to the alt-right, and will likely linger on if they leave the alt-right. They very likely have a lot of problematic thoughts and problematic ways of thinking that will continue to cause problems for them (and possibly others) for some time (if not for the rest of their lives). I don't know that they can "become sober" like a drug addict. And even drug addicts often replace one addiction with another. When you have such serious issues with the ways that you think (serious enough to join the alt-right), I don't know how much you can improve. That said, I guess any improvement is still an improvement. And someone no longer being on the path to physically harming others is certainly a great improvement. But maybe we just shouldn't expect such people to become very well-adjusted, reliable proponents of the public good. But if they do improve that much, that's great!

im 22 and diagnosed with asd now but starting when i was around 15 i got deper and deper to the point where i was at the point of regurgitating biased and just ouright racist and anti semetic stats. i never felt i fit in and got picked on a lot so they provided a scapegoat being minorities for all my hatred anger and sadness. what really chnaged my opinion was being diagnosed and how hard i get fucked over by any system thats in place to help me and those people i idolized are activley discriminating against neurodivergent people like me and want to see us suffer.

Well, to be fair, it's not really KZfaq/Google. It's just the algorithm. If you look up a video on ufos, you're going to be shown a lot more videos about ufos. Although it's pretty messed up that the alt-right has infiltrated the internet and youtube, KZfaq does fight against this. I can confirm that as a form of contractor for both Google/KZfaq. I constantly reviewed videos for egregious misinformation, etc.

I'm not really friends with any of them anymore and they're not much better people for the experience... they're sinking back in, in fact. I can't be the only one who thinks the radicaliation of making people like Gabe hate minorities usually starts out with hating "outcasts" of whatever fandom a bunch of white dudes on 4chan said were, such as furries and bronies getting targeted for harrassment and even receiving facist levels of fear mongering ("furries want to f--- animals"). This was very popular during the early 2010s, but as time went on, a lot of those adults who were doing furry bashing, then made friends with people who also shares the same hate. Only these people takes it a step further and shares that they hate anime fans for "loving a culture that isn't theirs" then they get invited to steam groups or forums that introduces them to people who also hates furries, but also gives them access to a wide variety of people who don't just hate furries, but other people they considered to be "degenerates" in their eyes, anime fans being one of them, of course, but then it gets more... extreme. First they learn about "SJWs" and how they're ruining gaming with their "over sensitivity" then they learn about the LGBTQA and how they're a bunch of "snowflakes" who can't take a "joke." Then they see hateful things being shared by these people, usually transphobic memes, maybe even homophobic memes, then these people share videos or articles from people who have alt right view points to be viewed by the Gabes. Then they start to go down (non furry) rabbit holes of right wing rthetoric involving anti feminism, anti equality, pro segregation and so on. Then the Gabe gets told that they should see the LGBTQA as degenerates, threats to children. That white people are the oppressed ones, that man should be in charge, not women, and then they bring up talking points like the great replacement theory, eugenics, and then next thing you know they're now being told to hate Jewish people. I've seen this first hand from tf2, back in 2013 it was common for furries and bronies to be bashed because "they don't belong here" but now playing in 2023, I've noticed that a lot of grown adults who have play tf2 for a while have become more toxic towards the LGBTQA+ community, the black community, and even sharing antisemitism as well. It was never this extreme, but the normalization of hating people for being "different" has only intestine as the game got older with people who started off hating "outcasted fandoms"

The wage gap is factually only existent because they're comparing gross pay, not taking into account career preferences and time off taken. There have been other studies showing that when you account for these things, women are actually paid more than men in their respective fields. Almost half of women say that they out-earn their husbands. You need to educate yourself.

@@bud389 The wage gap currently, when adjusted to men and women who have the same education, work in the same industry, etc., has women making around 95-98 cents for every dollar a man makes depending on how narrowed down the comparison is. I'd say the bigger issue that women face in the workplace is that they're way less likely to be promoted. Society also puts lower value on "women's work" (teaching, nursing, etc.), and as an industry becomes more female dominated, the pay goes down in proportion to male dominated jobs. Btw we don't even know where the guy's mom worked or how long ago, and however big or small the average wage gap is, she might have personally had a fucked experience, and having your son ramble on about it even if he's partially right could get nasty and I see why he's remorseful.
