When I worked in a small town in Hokkaido, I used to go to the kombini at night and eat 2 kani cream korokke while walking in the snow. It's one of my favorite memories from Japan.

The cream crab croquettes are similar to *_croquettes aux crevettes_* which are super popular in Belgium. No potatoes indeed...just tiny shrimp and thickened béchamel sauce. I had a few in Brussels. Mmm, mmmm. Delicious.

Anyone else had to stop the video at about 4 minutes because they can literally feel themselves salivating ? No? Just me then? 🤤🤤🤤

Watching the both of you today, made me want to run out and buy a Katsu curry! I wish our curry house sold shrimp katsu!!!

I lived in Tokyo for 6 months and went to coco ichiban a lot! The cheese-filled burger and the pari-pari chicken were my favorite toppings!! I loved that you listed them first and second!! Imagine my amazement around month 4, when I found out you could combine more than one topping!! Also, I was level 1 too, Ama-guchi FTW!

CocoIchi has a halal outlet in Akihabara. The first time we went there, I ordered spiciness level 5 but it was too spicy for me. The second time we came, I ordered level 3 which is just right. I love the fukujinzuke as well. Me and my brother were supposed to come to japan again last february, but we canceled our trip due to the pendemic. We really hope to visit japan again when the pendemic is over.

I could eat Coco several times a week. I ate at Coco 3 times during my 2 week trip and kept on thinking about going back a 4th time. Maybe next summer. I can handle pretty spice food, but I was a little arrogant and ordered number 7 my first time around - I couldn't finish it because it was just too hot. The second time I ordered it at 4 and was comfortable, and finally settled on 5 for my final go around.

Coco is amazing for a chain restaurant, the curry is super flavorful and it's so customizable with all the toppings you can choose!

After watching this I definitely see curry on the menu this week! The creamed crab croquette looked interesting. All the toppings look amazing! Nice video. We had pork cutlet bowls for dinner tonight. We are anime fans and my 12 year old and I love Yuri on Ice... lol

Coco's is the best. The absolute favorite of my fiance and me. I miss it so much now that we're in the states. Though I don't know why you said there's no chicken cure. That was our staple order for years, cocos has chicken curry. Its amazing

I've been obsessed with Coco's for 9 years now! Haha. Started when I visited Japan, then lived in Hawaii and Korea with a restaurant just down the street. Went there way too often! Now back in California I make a trip to LA almost every other month, sometimes just for that. It's just amazing. My order is always the same too, cheese, spinach, mushroom, fried chicken, and garlic shrimp.

I enjoy making your Glico brand curry....I add Potatoes,onions, carrots, garlic and then in the last few minutes raw prawns and serve it over Japanese rice ......yummy🤤

Ohhhhh coco curry ichibanya👏👏👏 me and my kareshi used to eat there always after work... I still remember whats on his plates are Tofu, Minchi katsu, pork katsu, nasubi, okra, kaki, nato, shitake, chicken karaage... But for me shinichi san to isho, i always have my favorite forever ika ringu the best... Natsukashi na...😋😋😋✌️❤️

Have to miss out on CoCoIchi for a while for obvious reasons. I always have it when I go to Japan and my go-to is: Cheese + Spinach + a cutlet (Tonkatsu, Beef Katsu, Torikatsu).

The curry there is so tasty! I had the pari pari chicken in beef tendon curry with a soft boiled egg last time. Pari pari chicken is sooo good!

Epic curry time!!! No wonder you keep eating the toppings first you can't see the curry otherwise hahaha. You gave me some ideas to top my curry with next time. I think I'm going to try egg and ika rings. I would like to try the ebi katsu or kani cream korokke but that is a lot of work to make and curry night here is usually because I want an easy night cooking; The ika rings I can buy at the local fish shop although they have more batter around them. I wonder if substituting the fish katsu with the Dutch kibbeling (white fish pieces deep fried with batter) would be a good idea? Coco Curry is so great with all the customisation options as well as a good children's menu. My husband could eat there every day when in Japan.

coco curry is so good for a fast food style curry place. Food quality never disappoints. I love Japan.

I love the ebi-katsu they had at McDonalds in Kobe when I lived there. Only thing I would eat at McD. Have seen so many of the CoCo Curry places, but never been there, preferred Gyoza or Donburi for fast food. I'll try CoCo next time I'm able to go to Japan.

I am in California and the closest Coco Ichibanya to us is about an hour and a half away and we still go maybe once a month but we haven't been able to go since covid and I miss it soooo much!! Coco Ichibanya is easily my favorite place ever!! 🤩 Japanese curry is just soooo delicious and im sad there aren't more Japanese curry places here!! I need MORE 😭

I have to say, the food you two eat is the greatest challenge to my vegetarianism ever! Haha! I'm coveting that curry! 😂 I routinely make Indian-style vegan curries with lots of fruit and nut toppings which are a sweet counterpoint to the savoriness of the curry, but all those meat toppings are making my stomach grumble with hunger. Taihen Arigatogozaimashita! Didn't fully understand their menu and method of oishi madness! Here in California, i think there are only 2 or 3 CoCo Ichiban. The cheese hamburg steak there is so good with the curry. Last time I was at a Coco Ichi, I got that with extra cheese on the curry, and some tomato.

Always happy to see more Cocoichibanya videos from you guys, the variety in toppings is often exciting and delicious to look at! We don't have Cocoichi here but a Japanese food restaurant nearby here do serve curry with either chicken katsu, minced chicken or yakiniku. (We used to have tempura and fried fish, but not anymore) I wish to try the crab korokke and cheese hamburger!
