One thing you forgot to take into account is that all the transports kantbei built count towards his unit value, so while he seemed to be incredibly dominant for most of the match the actual firepower each player had was actually more even.

I'm starting to feel like if you build a Recon and it doesn't see the enemy, you at least have some information on where the enemy is NOT at. I've made this mistake before several times.

The worst thing you can do with Sasha is buy units before you power. It might not have impacted the match immediately, but that play started a sequence of events that resulted in a Black Storm ravaging Sasha's troops a few turns later. That turned her dominant lead into a match with even unit value, and when that happens you have already lost.

Feels like it was really the small mistakes that hurt the most this match. A couple bars or charge here and there from building a copter, saccing infantry here and there. It all added up.

yo deejus, could you make a strategy video on how to make a good comeback in a match when you're behind (properties/value/unit count). I'm a noob and one fuckup at the beginnign is usually the downfall for me since I struggle to recover and somehow go back to "neutral".

Hawke constantly getting Power-cucked was brutal to watch, good on Elagatua for fighting through it.

I think early on when Kantbei was going for the cities in the top left, I wanna say he could've secured one if not both by block the bridge with the recon. Not sure if it would be a smart move given fog, but he would've had those cities for a few turns at least.

Here's why I use Sasha Scop after the 3rd or 4th market crash. Any high- or mid-power CO is still going to get their power or superpower if they play their cards right. So, in my opinion, I would have waited and used Scop on the turn that Hawk was going to get Black Wave and the Hawk as a choice. After seeing that, you can either wait for Hawk to get his Scop and then beat back the value he knows is coming, or use Black Wave to try and punish you for using Scop. Either way, you win. If Hawk uses his CO power, you can beat him down with value, as Collin would. If Hawk waits to get his Scop, you can keep saving money while sending out decent units that will outlive his Scop. Then, you can punish him on the kickback. I know some veterans might think this sounds stupid, but I've played this matchup 5 times before, and 3 of those times I used this strategy and won. It's a great way to break the stalemate in the late game. However, it's important to note that this strategy only works on large and mid-large maps (like the one in the video). You also need to understand your army setup before you attempt it. If you have a great army, don't use this strategy. But if you only have a decent army compared to your opponent, then you can use it. Just be sure to gauge your units carefully. That's my two cents.

I have suspected for a bit that a lander build could work really well on this map. I've tried it twice now and failed both times.

Once i played a Sturm Mirror match on this map, i had 2 landers, 1 apc and 2 tcopters, the match lasted 57 days. Those transports were great

Just never going after those top 2 cities and not keeping up with the medium tanks. That lander should have been bringing a medium tank to the front line every turn cause no way would hawk have been able to keep up with the Neo tanks to respond to them all.

As always I gotta say... as a non-competitive player it still seems to me like these top level players don't ever even think about or consider the "tide in-tide out" tactics that they should employ... I sustain that every time you attack and deal a substantial amount of damage, you should follow up with a retreat, with the empirical knowledge that it will take your opponent an extra turn to reinforce and that your own troops will arrive in the next turn for a follow-up even stronger attack. This would be especially effective if your retreat is lateral as well, EVEN MORE IN FOG, because this means your opponent will have to reinforce whilst not knowing which side they should reinforce. It kinda seems basic to me, but again, I'm not a competitive player... maybe I should be but I have no patience for people who take days to make their moves.

Ok so you jokingly said that Oogoogulah was cheating, that he was able to see through the fog when he avoided a tank earlier in the game, but then he just so happens to build a fighter just the next turn that Kantbei built a bomber?! That actually makes me suspicious and there were quite a few moves that I thought seemed too sensible, like a few captures that were by no means guaranteed but were taken because he may have been able to see that there was no danger...
