September 7, 2021 Northern Illinois severe thunderstorm event.
The storms had a complex charge structure which led to continuous positive CG lightning strikes from the core at times. They were high peak current strokes (most in the 80-110kA range) so they were loud too. Several of the flashes also featured positive re-strikes which are not so common.
Video shown 8x slower and 40x slower, thunder does correspond to each stroke shown.
