Intense Heatwave Thunderstorm over Austin Texas June 2023

This summer heatwave is intense, the humidity is oppressive, and the extreme heat contributes to these beautiful storms.
This video was shot from Manor Texas, near northeast Austin Texas by Parmer and 290. These storms are beautiful to watch but not too unique during an El Nino. This is just one of many thunderstorms passing through.

This was probably the night it hailed last week in cedar park. I sat outside watching the storm roll in. Oddly relaxing, thank you for documenting it.

Well Austin, Texas has a semi-arid climate and to break the oppressive heat would take a heavy thunderstorm driven by a cold jet stream, or a southward-moving cold front referred as a "backdoor front."

Your welcome. The first major storm came through last night. Some rain, thunder and lighting with strong winds. Some property damage in Mesa.

Why did you filmed this lightning barrage only ten minutes,why you didn't continue to film the severe lightning barrage until the end,because i saw you were in your own house,in your own backyard,you had possibilty to charge your battery to your phone.I have semn myself even worse lightning barrage back into the summer of 2000 in the night of 14.06.2000-15.06.2000,this lightning barrage started at 10:00PM and last for several hours at least 6 full hours,this very violent lightning barrage took place in HUNEDOARA CITY,HUNEDOARA COUNTY,WESTERN ROMANIA,unfortunately I had no possibilty to film and register the monster lightning barrage,let me tell you the weather conditions in that day of 14 of june year 2000,maximum day time temperature 38°C shade temperature,air humidity 100%,0km/h winds,no clouds on the sky for the whole day,further more during the monster lightning barrage we've had then 23 years ago,then was NO WINDS,NO RAIN,NO HAIL,BUT IT WAS A MONSTER LIGHTNING BARRAGE WHICH LAST FOR AT LEAST SIX FULL HOURS,I SWEAR TO YOU.God bless you,MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024,WITH MORE AND MORE AND EXTREME LIGHTNING BARRAGE,GOD BLESS YOU AGAIN!
