The first leg from my American adventure in December 2015. On-board FR411 from London Luton to Copenhagen, Denmark on Saturday 5th December 2015 during Storm Desmond. PLEASE READ:
I know what your thinking, why we would we be flying to Denmark when we are off on our annual America adventure? Well, why not. And it saved us a considerable amount of money by using 'open jaw' flights with British Airways (videos coming up!)
An extremely windy Saturday afternoon over London while Storm Desmond battered most of the United Kingdom. I have never felt wind like it - saw several diversions/go arounds while arriving at Luton Airport.
I wasn't sure we would be flying up to Copenhagen. Ryanair 737-800 EI-EBA was flown in from London Stansted due to our aircraft being stranded in Knock.
Only slightly behind schedule, we left the stand and made a slow taxi out. We could feel the aircraft being pushed from side to side.
Before long, we began our roll down the runway on this 10,000 mile adventure. Incredibly scary departure - passengers were crying/screaming as we took to the dramatic skies over London.
Certainly a fantastic way to start this trip! #avgeek
