Hey, Jay. Here's an idea. Show a paper currency, (Value optional.) Have someone hold out their hands, palms up. Ask, if they are a lefty or righty. Whichever they say, place the bill in that outstretched hand. Tell the spectator that to lower the other hand. You then tell the spectator that you want to try a science experiment using the bill and heat. Then tell the spectator, "For this. I'm going to need some heat." Without mentioning it, show your hand(s) cleanly empty and then reach into your pocket and remove a lighter. Begin slowly waving the flame from the lighter, (being careful not to burn the spectator's hand,) underneath their palm up hand that holds the bill. Tell the spectator and onlookers, "If I do this just right. Maybe, I can get the heat from the flame to cause the bill to rise. Like a hot air balloon." After a few seconds, say, "Wait for it." Then a few more seconds go by. Say, "Hum, nothing seems to be happening." Then slowly, a "scorched mark" begins to materialize onto the bill. Noticing this, say, "But, look! The bill is becoming scorched." (Yes, Jay. A scorched mark slowly materialize onto the bill.) Bringing attention to this. Say, "But, that's not the crazy part. What's crazy, is what's in your hand. Not the bill. But..." Slowly, dramatically, remove the bill from their hand and reveal a scorched mark is also in the palm of their hand. Do you like this? I know that you can figure pretty much of it out. There are many methods out there to cause an image to materialize onto a bill. The old lemon juice method. But that won't work, what with the bill is on the palm of the spectator's hand. But, now that I think about it. Magician Bill Kidd has a method that she uses with a special pen marker. Maybe, that technique can be applied. Or, maybe, you might come up with something better or more practical. If you want. You can make a tutorial. Well, that's it! I just wanted to share that idea with you because I get my inspiration from you to dream up effects. Maybe some day I'll create effects too. But for now. Lets take one step at a time. Sanky just to add a Lil something for reality purposes .... Once you get the cap in the bottle and squish it back circular.... Fill the bottle up so the cap floats behind the label. Once you palm the other cap and smash it against the bottle instantly pour the water out.... Don't give them a chance to think.... Then hand them the bottle. A half full bottle will look a lot more real than an empty one you carry around covering the bottom half. Can even then have a swig or 2 in front of them so long as you are careful not to expose the floating cap. :)

Oh my gosh! It worked great! I tried it today on my friends. They loved it. They looked for slits all over the bottle. I was a little worried that they would notice that I didn't actually take the cap off, but they didnt see a thing! Thank you do much! Your doing great.

I performed this trick for a friend yesterday while helping him move and gave the bottle back to him and he tried to figure it out for about a minute then just threw it across the room! All in all he loved the trick and am still curious how I did it!m Thanks for this one! So easy to do! One of my favorites next to bandit handcuffs.

Jay, I did this trick tonight at a guys night at church. It's silly but impromptu. The guys at the table liked it (albeit a throw away trick - I wasn't doing much magic that night, just a couple tricks here and there). However, one guy asked the best question - 'can you remove the bottle cap from the bottle magically'? I just laughed, we were having fun. And as a hobbyist that's all I want. But that would be a good trick. How to get a bottle cap out of a bottle with magic.

Thought: put some rubber cement inside bottle where label is. Have cap inside bottle hidden behind label. Shouldn't move easily with friction caused by cement. Hold bottle horizontal showing it apparently empty. Can even rotate bottle a bit and show right hand empty and bottle empty too. Thoughts??

Since I'm not very good I flip the bottle to someone to make even more attention away from my hand with the cap. Then they all look to the person who catches it and inspect the bottle.
