The Len Evans Tutorial is one of the greatest wine tasting experiences you’re likely to hear about, and partake in. It is also incredibly competitive, humbling, thrilling and at times incredibly challenging. Here I talk about wins, losses, and what to expect from the Tutorial.
As I mention in the video, I will release a much longer video where I go into detail about the top wines from the judging, my successes and clangers… lots of discuss!

Wow I have never heard of this Len Evans Wine tutorial……you broke it down so well and it truly seems like a once in a lifetime experience having that many brilliant minds in one room and all those brilliant wines! My favourite part of this video: seeing where you wrote "TANNIN❤" 😄 Would love to know if there's any context for that but even with no context it's funny.

I wrote it on the back of my book and held it up to one of the people in my class during a tasting (silent, of course) in response to one of the sensational wines there... it turned out to be the Littorai Pinot Noir. Unbelievable splay of tannin. Gorgeous.

Wined and dined for a week, sounds like my kind of event! Add some world class golf and we’d be getting close to a 100 pointer haha. Do you know how the Len Evans Tutorial compares with the Master Sommelier certification?

They’re very different. The MS qualification is a certification you hold, like an MW or a doctorate. The LET is a scholarship tutorial that you attend. Past scholars do not get a certification, per se. The experience is worth every second of effort to be able to attend.
